On the plus side, the mount is great with lots of flexibility and the panel is very effective
The mount itself is strong, but the ball joint is a bit poor; otherwise it works.
Given most of us are going to mount these on the fascia board below our guttering, the mount is no where near long enough for the solar panel to have good clearance to 'see' the sun...
This is a nice option for the Arlo Pro cameras I have mounted in multiple locations.
We bought solar panel #1 from Best Buy and had two more on back order
The solar panel purchased from Best Buy worked great from the start so we were excited to get these and install them
The only difference i can see between the 3 panels is that the one purchased from Best Buy has a “May 2017” date on it, and the two purchased from Amazon have “October 2016” dates on them
Best Buy finally canceled the back order because it wasn’t being fulfilled by NETGEAR
The box marked “1” was purchased from Best Buy and it works fine
I'd say it's somewhere between the size of a large smart phone and an iPad mini
In my mind I thought it would be about the size of a smart phone (after all, the picture does look like a smart phone on a car holder), but it's actually bigger than that.
I thought it was a bit larger than I expected, was thinking size of a smart phone and more like the size of a IPAD.

Instead I'm currently angry, frustrated, and not looking forward to my next tech support call with your people.
After an initial charging fault glitch, tech support thoroughly addressed my issue and found that it was related to a cable, and a replacement part was ordered
After being on the phone forever, and the tech wanting to try all sorts of things my husband already tried, we gave up with tech support and they refused to replace the panels

I would recommend Netgear either start offering on site services or at least provide a referral to onsite tech support that can work with you guys
GREAT IDEA NOT WORKING, THIS IS WHAT I GET WHEN CONNECTING IT TO ARLO PRO:"A charging fault has been detected on Garbage camera
Unsure as to some of the other reviews that indicate the mount (which is not the ball type with magnet) doesn't interfere with the other camera mounting bracket
I purchased these because they seemed like a good idea to keep me from having to go up a ladder to charge the batteries

Now, with the solar panel plugged in, we get 2 weeks until the unit goes dead from a full charge
I’m getting a message that this unit isn’t compatible for charging the Arlo camera
Cheaper units have larger thumb thread locks that block the power port on Arlo Pros
Overpriced, but it works on Arlo Pro 2 where cheaper units by Wasserstein discharged the battery
Worked great up till 27th March 2018 now I have 2 units which have stopped working which now reads on the app and web " The charger connected to the camera cannot charge your battery
It technically works as advertised but I wish it included a longer cable and some cable management clips
Unsure as to some of the other reviews that indicate the mount (which is not the ball type with magnet) doesn't interfere with the other camera mounting bracket
but hopefully this summer all will work as advertised..
Works as advertised

These are perfect addition to the security cameras, no need to remove an recharge.
but it's an excellent addition to the system.
It is a great addition to the camera when it works

That’s perfect for our use as this new camera and panel will be installed in the roof overhang
Not a perfect install but very easy
My current batteries have been installed for six months, and still show fully charged, so this panel would only seem appropriate for certain kinds of applications

Product works great and keeps my Arlo Pro 2 charged throughout the day and keeps me worried free about my Arlo Pro 2 from dying
you guys make great products but this is disappointing and now a expensive paper wait
Despite using all proprietary Arlo products including the mount, wires, etc., the solar panel still does not adequately charge camera even in direct sunlight.
This product does not work below 0 degrees Celsius which is like majority of the time if you live in Canada or cold climate
If you've purchased this defective product, return it as soon as possible so you can get a refund
For those who live where 4 seasons exist or more importantly... colder weather - NetGear has a lot more work to do before they can call this option a "solution".
It's been used since the end of May, 2018, so the weather has been warm and sunny.
At night or during bad weather, the camera uses battery power that continues to deplete the battery
We’ve been through a few rain storms, some sunny weather, and some cloudy weather

Hoping they come out with a working solution one day.
Excellent for posting the camera and a high location and not having to worry about get up and change batteries chargers very well and cold hot and cloudy days
During the sunny days it works great but the cloudy days it will not charge.
Keeps the camera batteries charged, but does not charge on cloudy days.
Will see how the panel charges during winter cloudy days.
Needless to say once the battery is depleted to zero the solar panel will not charge.
The batteries are the issue, it will eventually stop charging the battery
The camera has turned off charging a few times when the temperature has gotten too low, which is what it is designed to do to protect the battery.
The wireless cameras seem to have decent battery life as it is (they say up to 6 months depending on how frequently you watch the videos, record, etc.) and after one week without the solar panel, the front yard camera had used up 5% battery and the side yard camera had used up 3% battery.
I bought the solar charger, and it won't charge because battery is too cold....

GREAT IDEA NOT WORKING, THIS IS WHAT I GET WHEN CONNECTING IT TO ARLO PRO:"A charging fault has been detected on Garbage camera
With this configuration it increased the battery level by 14% in 2 days but the third day with this new configuration, I got the message "A charging fault has been detected
No matter what I have tried (restarting, pulling the battery, cleaning, etc) now all I get is a charging fault on the camera
