Three stars for the relatively easy setup (though no customer service number to call for help, or at least, I couldn't find one, and NO INSTRUCTION manual- had to go online to download that)
Setup was easy, but one of the cameras was only recording in pink.
Pros: Setup is extremely easy, build quality seems good, all accessories (e.g., batteries) included for out-of-the-box operation, conspicuous/small design, night vision function is very good, battery life seems good with limited test (ballpark 10% decrease per week)Cons
cameras arrived didn,t work tech support was awful no help ordered new cameras able to hook them up very poor quality fuzzy etc a very poor product with little tech support returned them for a refund
The setup was a little clunky but it worked eventually

The app works good with the cameras and is pretty easy to setup how you want it
The app was super easy to download and is intuitive and easy to use
The picture and video on the app are clear and app is easy to use

The cameras look so cool, but the app makes it frustrating to use: it crashes frequently, the video playback is buggy and does not scrub through footage within the app (I have to download the video first to my iPhone to scrub,) and the sync time from device:cloud:app is very slow

Don't waste your money on this if you are serious about home security.
In my opinion you can get better cameras for less money and won't be wasting time and money replacing batteries and re-positioning cameras constantly.
Probably worth the money to get the Arlo Pro cameras that use a charge instead of batteries
I'm writing this review because I do not want others to waste their time and money on these cameras
Don’t waste your money on this camera system, look somewhere else for a better product with customer support that can help deal with problems, and not read a prepared script

I spent a lot of money on this system and could have been a long-term customer/proponent; if, say, the Base Station was defective, it couldn't have been an undue burden for NETGEAR to replace it for me.2
But one day the base station got issue and nothing can be connected
Glitches in Internet connectivity (even just momentarily) can shut the base station offline until your base-station and Internet router is restarted

Currently entire system dissappeared (not just me, apparently lots of folks having same problem) and you have to completely reset and set up system again from beginning
Leaving for a trip I had to waste a lot of time re-pairing the cameras

The lack of wires is nice, but the cameras burn through expensive batteries.
The real problem is the batteries are very expensive and extremely unreliable
After recording hours of nothing the batteries will be dead
I have the camera settings set to lowest quality to get the best battery life, we set up the cameras 5 days ago and ALREADY had to chance the battery out yesterday

They only record motion and they suck at detecting motion
Generally, the recording will start late, well after the something has moved in view of the camera
The recording lag, the inability to only record when motion is present and a functionally stunted app will be my reasons for returning this system.
With the NetGEAR, I hit record and it loses connection 20 to 30 seconds in and stops recording EVERY TIME!
For this use case I was attracted to the Arlo system because it was Battery Powered, had motion detection, night vision, 7 days of free recording, and had push notifications

We learned two weeks ago the cameras lost connection with the base
The Arlo cameras consistently lose their wifi connection to my "routers

Second issue is if one camera goes out or you have to replace the batteries, it will trigger the system to lose connection to all or some of the other cameras

Arlo customer service finally admitted its a known issue that their engineers are working on
n’t work at all
Customer service is terrible, rude and unwilling to resolve issues and you can barely get a word in because they will talk over you every time
The cameras and app are good, but Arlo's customer service is terrible
