Nice mike but make my pa and radio and external speaker squeel if not at lowest

Loved this mike in the past and this one was exactly the same mike - great quality

I would have rated it higher if the first mike I received worked as well as the second, I bought this to replace a D104-M6 that picked up too much background noise, and it does reduce the background noise without sacrificing the audio level.

I have the old version (got it in the 90's), back when the the RK56 mics were still awesome.

I am removing a star because it seems these mics aren't consistently good (and because of the cheaper feel of the PTT button).

These are great little mics if you have your standard 4watt radio

Do not waste your time combining this mic with a more powerful radio, you will be over modulated and will do yourself more harm than good.

I get compliments all the time on the sound

so time will tell how well it holds up, but so far so good.

Wanted this mic for a while and after damaging the cord on my CB i decided to order this one, The adjustable power on the mic is nice for powering through background noise, and im told its crisp and clear on the other end, considering my truck has not carpets with loud exhaust and knobby tires

and it sounds crappy teamed up with the 959 i heard a guy locally talking with a 959 and his audio was nice he had a RD104 road devil having used d104s before id try it

It has great audio output and keeps any background noise from being transmitted through the radio.

I use it on my base to cut out background noise such as tvs, radios and other distractions

and it does not pick up the background noise like some other power mics I use.
