One recognized, you can re-enable Secure Boot and enjoy

This drive is working perfectly, quite loud when running a disc though and when first booting the system, gotta love old technology.

Consult your specific PC manufacture's manual for steps to disable and re-enable Secure Boot .

Please keep in mind that Windows 8 and 8.1 use SECURE Boot, which must be disabled for your PC to recognize and "see" the drive

No noises are emitted from the drive (ie grinding as i have seen reported on other sights) with the power off, using the paperclip release will open the tray

The packaging includes 4 mounting screws to secure into your computer case, but nothing else beyond that (no SATA cable, etc.)Installation is extremely straightforward, and Windows 7 automatically recognized the drive upon boot and installed proper drivers.
