I would say the picture is great and the monitor is very slick
But the picture is amazing, so is physical look of the monitor.
With outdated display connectors, punishing hardware requirements, and lack of os and app support besides netflix and prime that can stream 4k. && the picture sometimes appear grainy while the 4k is trying to push the 1080p and 60hz
The picture is stunning, with abundant adjustments available to tune it to your liking.
Instead, you have to adjust it on the monitor controls, risking accidentally changing the picture
For an office it's perfect, but if you're gonna be watching a movie or gaming with this monitor the volume when using the audio out leaves much to be desired, that being said I can't recommend this monitor enough for what you're buying it for, the display.

Very bad button location/sensitivity - a possible work around would be to get a separate HDMI selector and use that instead - which I strong recommend if your going to use different inputs.2
I also received a sound bar as a gift and not being able to place them under the monitor due to the limited adjustability of the stand and the lack of a VESA mount seriously limited my options

Good monitor but the lack of a VESA mount makes Asus not a consideration in the future.

I feel like I need to balance out the overwhelmingly positive reviews on this monitor because people should definitely be aware of some of the issues with this monitor
It seem like a lot of the people giving bad reviews bought a used/refurbished one, so that may have been the problem
I risked buying this because I generally like Asus and often negative reviews (one star) are vague or useless, but there were a lot of one stars and a lot of them were specific
I actually downgraded from a 32" TV monitor, however the TV was only 720p and seeing every individual pixel from 2 feet away was giving me serious eye strain

Text isn't quite as sharp as on my 24" lcd monitor, but it isn't so bad that you couldn't use this as a primary monitor, in my opinion

Well, I have to say, I just unboxed this and hooked it up, it's certainly nicer than the Asus 248H-P that it's replacing
Now that the monitor has been set up to the way I like it, using it is a daily pleasure and it feels like I have a new PC.I've read in some other reviews that some people are concerned that this monitor doesn't support VESA mounting.
Some may not like the low volume of the internal speakers but this is not an issue for me as I use professional studio monitors.
Looks great, wonderful picture, volume is good for the sound but do not expect any great quality, they are small speakers after all and do as good of a job as they can.
I am on a Mac and have dedicated volume buttons, which do not work with this monitor.
it only draws a few watts of power, so the volume is limited.
No distortion at volumes too uncomfortable for desktop use, but suitable to fill an entire large room with smooth sound
My monitor, right out of the box had severe backlight bleeding
The first monitor I received had a significant backlight bleed near the bottom right bezel on top of the 2nd control button from the left and also had a dead pixel near the top 1/3 left of the screen
The monitor arrived with no dead pixel and minimum back light bleed
The monitor itself is beautiful and has a broad range of colors without over-saturating anything, but if there is one complaint I have, it's that the backlight bleed is more prominent than I expected and the viewing angle doesn't seem as good as my last IPS monitor, especially when it comes to the vertical axis
while i should have guessed, a 700$ TN panel, in my case, outperformed this IPS in both speed, and color, and the LED bleed on this is really bad
I've got two of these bad boys and they're absolutely beautiful
buy another one of these and have dualies of these bad boys
After looking around I decided on this bad boy mostly based on looks
Based on what I've seen so far I have no hesitation on purchasing at least another on of these bad boys for my own setup to do video and picture editing.
I have played the Evil Within and Battlefield 4 on this bad boy
