The stand is very adjustable, for both tilt and height, and the monitor can rotate between landscape and portrait
For me, I like the fact that the stand is heavy/bulky because it doesn't wobble as easily- Refresh rate at 75hz- Nvidia drivers picked up the 2560x1440p resolution without any
I bought this after I returned the Samsung 4K monitor due to the poor stand that comes with it, and let me tell you
If I had to do over, I'd buy a comparable Dell or Visio monitor because of the weak stand.
Once mine finally did and the stand became all but unusable, I contacted ASUS to get a replacement, presumably under warranty.
The WQHD resolution blew me away as I have a rig with enough processing power to drive the display
If Apple isn't in your price range, then this monitor is actually pretty good value.
I know some reviews have been hit-or-miss as it relates to product quality (dead pixels, color issues, etc.), but mine came flawless
Overall, a great monitor and a great value in my opinion.
I've owned this item for approximately 2 months now and have been pleased with the image quality of the screen but have been let down by what I suspect to be the IO failing as the screen randomly displays "no signal" (disconnecting entirely), will flicker on and off quickly, or distort the images being displayed momentarily
Great size, no dead pixels, nice bright screen, physical(!!!
The screen originally had some severe image retention issues with certain dark screens in Farcry 4, but after playing other games the issue is non-existant.
This screen is great if you happen to get one in good shape
The only pro is that the display colors are great and the screen is very bright, not to mention the huge screen
This screen is very uniform (as expected), and their is no light bleed (also as expected
But then I realized that it shouldn't lose a star because it's
I'm not sure whether ASUS provides replacements for this problem at this time, but I am knocking off two stars solely for this
and I still love it as much as I did the day I bought it
Both monitors also glow around the edges when the screen is showing black (its not an
I give it only 4 stars because for the price, it's lacking a few things like decent speakers (don't go very loud and are muffled to the rear) and has no USB built in
1 calibrating this monitor is not even that simple 2 iCare crap doesn't even work 3 stick to 1080P or just go 4K.
It's good enough that I can live with it, and especially at the price, and this panel is just as good as the other one (no dead/stuck pixels, no noticeable light bleed).Despite the mixed reviews, I took a chance on this monitor, having had generally good success with many Asus products over the last decade
The monitor supports 4K at 60Hz, but requires DisplayPort 1.2 for this
Once I reverted to the most stable driver, there it was... glorious and magnificent 4K
/very adjustable standVery easy to setup hardware, nice stand screw that has flip out metal piece to tighten screw without tool, plate pops off back to aid with easy cable/power install and looks nice to cover connectorsVery easy to setup (need to switch to display port input, and set OCD (you get to this from the monitor's menu button on the back) to display port 1.2 to get 60Hz refresh rate)Great soundOverall great out of the box experienceNo dead/stuck pixels like my last ASUS monitor many
Only game I couldn't get past 52fps 4k max settings was the whitcher 3.Anyways, as long as your fine with 60fps, 28"s of gloriusness, and not ips panel, this is the monitor for you
Something to mention is that in the 1440p size I have a lot of workroom, I am a software developer, and the font size is perfect, no issues like the tiny fonts on 4K monitors.
My only issue with this monitor is the very evident backlight bleed on the lower right quadrant
I've had 0 issues with this monitor so far and its amazing for the price
The screen originally had some severe image retention issues with certain dark screens in Farcry 4, but after playing other games the issue is non-existant.
For the past couple months, whenever I wake up my computer the monitor takes now 10 seconds with lots of rattling noise from the back of the screen before turning on (after showing gray/snow)
Only game I couldn't get past 52fps 4k max settings was the whitcher 3.Anyways, as long as your fine with 60fps, 28"s of gloriusness, and not ips panel, this is the monitor for you
This results in display corruption, loss of signal, strange noises, etc.
But that could be the video card, OS, or something else so not sure.- Big issue is the fact that it makes a hissing noise sometimes when you hook up the sound
Amazing picture, great build quality, great I/O, amazing product for the money
The only way to get 4K at 60 Hz is to use Displayport, but it doesn't work! Most people who want to get a 4K monitor will want it to run at 60 Hz
bezels are not super thin like many people prefer but not a deal breaker .Overall a great monitor
Too many people have the same problem for you to waste your money on something that doesn't work!
nothing like what people were saying in forums like "Oh you`d have blurry image if you play at 1440p on 4k
Some people have complained that the buttons that are located on the lower backside of the monitor are difficult to use, while the buttons aren't super convenient, they are easy enough to use
As there is no way to prevent the monitor from switching inputs automatically the only workaround is to disable sleep on your computer or manually switch back to your computer using the menu which can be a pain if you have to do it a few times a day
I guess this monitor doesn't like 'sleep' because I found a lot of issues people are having when it comes to putting this monitor to sleep.2nd UPDATE: Sputtering came back less than 24 hours after the last update so unless ASUS solves my issue soon, it will be going
I ended up disabling sleep and just turning on a basic screensaver.
Disable sleep on the monitor, disable sleep on the computer, no issues.
Only game I couldn't get past 52fps 4k max settings was the whitcher 3.Anyways, as long as your fine with 60fps, 28"s of gloriusness, and not ips panel, this is the monitor for you
