All in all, it's a good deal to upgrade from an aging laptop if you already have an SSD
It's just a kind of lame keyboard, but I suppose that's the kind of corner-cutting that made this good deal possible
but I would list it as only average, there is a good deal of flex in it
It's a sweet deal for the specs you get (if you pay a little bit extra for an ssd), at the cost of build quality and convenience in return

Really bad battery life, about 4 hours, but the CPU and build is great for the price, pretty loud fan though.
For you to get a good battery life the screen brightness at 75% will give you 8hrs of battery life
You get a thin and light laptop with quad-core performance and a good screen with good battery life

Its a nice machine for the price, especially if you want to add an ssd to it.
VERY good machine, specially once you throw in an SSD, had my doubts until I did
I would say with the SSD drive installed it is a very formidable machine on par with much more expensive ones.

KB is fine, I love the display, boot fast, no overheating
Compareable HP and Dell models were very slow and had poor displays

I would recommend this product WITH SSD and never stay with HDD.

Really nice laptop, I upgraded the hdd to a sdd, really good performance for a $500 laptop
The performance for the build seems lacking and struggled with 3 explorer windows open and one excel file while I was doing research and nothing in the background.
I do really love the size, and the performance is great.
Surely HDD slows it down and limits its performance far below than its potential, so SSD upgrade is a must

The build quality is atrocious - everything is made from a VERY thin plastic, which you wont truly appreciate until you decide you want to upgrade (and you will - the 1TB HDD should be replaced with a SSD if you expect any sort of performance).

The i5-8250 is surprisingly fast and runs as fast as or a bit faster than the 2630QM in the G73SW

The already fast boot up time is even faster with the fingerprint sensor
So with the added SSD it makes it around a 600 dollar laptop but you will have a hard time finding another laptop of equal specs for that price even since it has an 8th gen processor.
That's also where I keep applications for fast launch times

The hard drive is already making scratchy loud noises, and I have NOT dropped it or otherwise damaged it.
Its an ok laptop , it makes crackling annoying noises sometimes, im worried that it will become worse with time so I will be returning it, also the speakers are really bed , keyboard is good enough.
First time I turned it on it was already overheating and making a loud noise fromThe cooler.
there's some coil whine type noise but not too loud- the webcam is a bad joke
Also there's an aweful grinding esk noise constantly coming from this laptop
