    • you really get amazing quality for what you pay, with the SSD rather than a hard disk drive, good spacing and pressure for the keyboard, great looking screen both indoors and outdoors, the gen 7 Intel core i5 processor works marvelous and has very high function speeds, and the 8 gig ram is plenty for most things
    • For background, I use the computer probably 10 hours/day to do engineering work (making figures, writing documents, MATLAB, etc).Pros:- Nice screen

    • I like the 13.3 inch screen although I have been accustomed to the 17 inch screen for years
    • Within months the hinge became very loose making it difficult to keep the screen up in one position, then the pieces around the screen started to separate, and now (14 months after I bought it) it appears to have completely died - black screen, no fan noise, nothing.

    • Blurry screen
    • The keyboard backlight automatically goes on, even when you turn it off it will turn on again if the screen goes dark....
    • Very fast bootup though, good construction, fingerprint sensor worked fairly well, fan is almost silent 90% of the time, screen is pretty dull but very thin and light

    • Within the first 6 months, the laptop would periodically crash and blue screen while booting Windows 10
    • Screen is sometimes not bright enough (rarely an issue).Screen only opens to about 110 degrees (also rarely an issue).Wasn't easy to get a second charger when I bought the computer...very surprised it wasn't available on Amazon from Asus
    • Dim screen
    • The battery saving settings that were factory set made the screen very dim even at max brightness, almost made me think the screen was defective but the problem was fixed by going into the power settings and turning off "adaptive brightness".The edge of the screen is can be pushed down with the slightest pressure, allowing it to dip below the bezel/lip of the screen frame

    • If anyone thinks the screen is dim make sure you hold the fn key down and press the letter A. This will make the screen alot brighter and turns off ambient light sensors.
    • Super lightweight and has a beautiful screen
    • The FHD screen is vibrant despite reviews commenting that other ultrabooks had 50 more nits of brightness.
    • Regarding some of the issues other reviewers have brought up: 1) the trackpad works okay for me; when I am home I use a usb mouse, but on the road the trackpad is fine - no worse than others i have had; 2) the screen seemed a little dim, but when I turned off the ambient light sensor (a tip from another reviewer) it brightened right up; use the fn-A key combination to do that; 3) speakers are adequate for listening to quiet music in a hotel room
    • Light, thin, good screen, comfortable keyboard and good battery life.

    • the screen is not amazing the screen does not bend back very far

    • Otherwise the speakers are pretty decent, screen is nice for this price, and keyboard gets the job done
    • The slightly smaller screen on this Asus is not a problem; the much smaller size (narrower width) means this fits in smaller carry-on bags.

    • the screen is very bright
    • is 97% of a MacBook Pro's- Screen is better than a MacBook
    • The screen did not work.
    • The only two things I don't like about it is that you can't put the screen at too far of an angle, and the minor lag when doing menial tasks.
    • So now the screen is nice and bright
    • But the screen wobbles
    • Has autobrightness(keyboard lights up when it's dark as well), precision touchpad with functionality for up to 4 fingers and is very spacious, the touch-id is really responsive, fan doesn't makes loud noise and nice place to put the fan, super thin, has a decent weight(but is very light), nice screen brightness, fast startup(mine is 3-6 seconds), nice audio, and fast charging time and long lasting battery life.
