AT&T CL2909 Corded Phone with Speakerphone and Caller ID/Call Waiting, White
Size:1-Pack
AT&T CL2909 Corded Phone, White, 1 Handset. Make sure your telephone service provider provides caller ID information while you are on a call. This is sometimes known as caller ID on call waiting or type 2 caller ID
I had the phone company fix the problem and now my phone works perfectly
This phone works well, has a lot of features and is inexpensive; all the up side
Phone works great, but the item was purchased for the caller i d feature.
This phone worked great with great features until the display started to lose letters and numbers
Phone worked fine for a few months and then the display just died...started only showing partial numbers, then nothing, tried changing batteries, still nothing.
the display is clear, as long as there is good light, very hard to see in subdued light
the light for the display doesn't work but everything else does
The phone has a bright red light that flashes whenever the phone is in use.
I cannot see the caller ID if there is not enough light in the room
I like the speaker phone, programmable numbers, a pleasant, not too loud ring, and if my husband is using the upstairs phone, my caller ID screen says "Line In Use" and a soft light comes on to alert me not to pick up
We've had this product before and have enjoyed the features.
Even at a steep discount price, this product is not worth the money.
I've reviewed a couple hundred products here on Amazon.com, and I've got to believe that only the sonic mosquito deterrents are worse products than this utter piece of techno-rubbish
good product I use n my home office, speaker phone and speed dials are great.
, you have probably noticed some companies take a successful product and over time cheapen it until it is a shadow of its former self.
The only bad feature is the very small thin hook to hold the receiver on the phone
Other features are OK, but 6 batteries are required, a poor feature of this phone.
I am very disappointed in this missing feature because as an older, I was looking for the illuminated display screen on the phone by my bed for easy viewing
Nice product apart from being completely ruined by one idiotic design feature
Good phone, used as wall mounted, nice features, reasonable price.
This is a good phone; has lots of features and nice large buttons.
Some of the number buttons stopped working properly, and the phone now thinks it has dead batteries all the time—even with factory-fresh name-brand batteries newly installed
All the functions are easy to understand and I like the big buttons
I like the big buttons, mute, redial, and the fact that it has a speakeroption.
speaker was not working when we got it; the buttons are big and comfortable, I am keeping this phone in case of cell phone not working
Easy to use, straightforward features and clear numbers.
Wonderful phone with all good features, especially the numbers (a little larger for arthritic fingers).
The numbers in the window have been unreadable for over two years
Phone worked fine for a few months and then the display just died...started only showing partial numbers, then nothing, tried changing batteries, still nothing.
To quote a previous review verbatim: "Phone worked fine for a few months and then the display just died...started only showing partial numbers, then nothing, tried changing batteries, still nothing
I need a landline and a phone with a good speaker unit because Writer's Digest tapes tutorials by me
Otherwise, it feels like a good quality phone and the speaker is nice and loud.
Really good speaker phone quality which is difficult to find in a corded (non-DECT) landline.
but you have to keep on putting batteries for the loud speaker the only thing wrong is this phone do not have a electric cord hook-up it would have been perfect
but when I am receiving a call a faulty speaker function can cause me to lose the call.
Also we think the picture is misleading since it clearly shows a back lit screen & that's just not the case
I just got off the phone with AT&T tech support (in India, naturally) and they said since it was purchased more than a year ago, my warranty is expired, and I'll have to buy a whole new phone!
However, the screen is not nearly as bright as pictured and can only be seen by getting up close to it.
So, believe the negative reviews and do not buy these defective phones
There are many poor reviews of this phone, but I don't need anything high tech so thought it would be ok
I just read the most recent negative reviews and was disappointed to see that the company apparently has still not fixed the defective displays, and still not fixed the defective speakerphone operation
At this point, I'm thinking this phone is pretty much a POS, and I'm really surprised it has so many good reviews
I am extremely disappointed and based on the other negative reviews, I am not the only one.
When the feedback is not making constant noise it skips, like when you are in an elevator on your cell phone
Buttons stick, sometimes makes a weird static noise when the handset is perfectly seated on the phone
However, the phone appears to be defective; there is an annoying buzzing noise in the background
I really want to warn other potential customers that this phone has a loud static noise whenever you use it which makes it completely useless
After getting the phone set up, I connected it to my land line and after a minute or so that very annoying noise came on, you know, the one that lets you know your phone is off the hook
I'm not sure I understood the distinction other than I needed to put in the home area code (the one that goes to this particular phone number) in order to use some of the number programming, etc.
That being said I do no like the display of the phone number.
Easy to see with larger numbers and and easy to use when you are dialing a phone number in the kitchen.
The display lights up, and you get is a dial tone, but when you punch in a phone number
i.e. phone number 555-555-1212 is displayed as 5555-5-1212.
Unfortunately this phone produces a loud clicking sound that is audible to the other party when the mute button is pressed (not to mention a loud beep in my ear)
Callers hear an annoying click when volume is adjusted up or down
Callers hear an annoying click when phone is muted or unmuted
As has been mentioned in other reviews, the mute button makes a very loud click on the other end.
