Reviews around set (5.00 of 5)

  • I've enjoyed a few sets of Audio Technica headphones across their price range and while I might not suggest these to an audiophile for their iPod, they work great for when I occasionally want heaphones on my computer.
  • As an unemployed college student these were the best I was able to afford after my other set suddenly stopped working
  • I also wear glasses and am happy to find a decent set of phones that are on-ear instead of having to go over-ear route

Reviews around size (5.00 of 5)

  • size is very good, it's not heavy, it sits fine on the head & covers years firmly2
  • Size: if you like headphones that have form factor like this, you will be very happy
  • I use my M2X for taking naps and the smaller size is good

Reviews around buy (5.00 of 5)

  • For $20 bucks, they're a good buy
  • It don’t matter if you’re working in a stereo spectrum, surround sound spectrum, or just listening to music as you workout, these headphones are an excellent buy for professional mixing, or leisure listening

Reviews around price (3.86 of 5)

  • These headphones are good, but they sound a bit muddy, possibly b/c my ears are so accustomed to the immediacy of intra-aural buds.
  • If you are looking for a new set of quality headphones at a decent price, then these are probably the set for you
  • With accurate frequency response, that is as clear and smooth as the best engineering can bring you, for an unbeatable price
  • I highly recommend these headphones for anyone looking for a decent, reasonably priced pair of headphones that will deliver exceptional quality of sound for their listening pleasure.

Reviews around cord (3.22 of 5)

  • My only complaints would be the extremely long cord, which is understandable but a little too long for me, and the fact that the cushions come off a little too easily.
  • They have a nice long cord, cover the ear nicely and overall provide great sound.
  • The comfort level is pretty good, with good sound and a long cord
  • The super long cord is somewhat perplexing, but I guess it has it's uses.
  • They also come with a nice long cord and a 1/4" stereo adapter.

Reviews around ear (3.14 of 5)

  • The fit: it feels a little weird (it somehow hugs my right ear better than my left ear), but it's
  • my ears get a little warm, but not nearly as much as some other over-the-ear
  • They weigh next to nothing, have comfortable ear donuts, and put out more than decent audio: voices are clear and distinct, every background sound is picked up, music is excellent with good clarity in the highs and midrange and resonance in the bass
  • With a depth and scope of headphones that cost hundreds of dollars, thank GOD Audio-Technica continues to bring the greatest ears in the world, the greatest headphones in the world
  • These headphones sound great but hurt my ears when I wear glasses, and my hair also gets caught and pulled by them, so I don't really use them.

More about Audio-Technica ATH-M2X Mid-Size Open Back Dynamic Stereo Headphones

  • Product Description Engineered for digital program materials, the ATH-M2X open-back dynamic stereo headphones are equipped with high-performance drivers and low-mass diaphragms for maximized power handling capability
  • They provide a clean, linear low end response, and include an 11.5' cable with 3.5 mm stereo mini-plug and 1/4" (6.3 mm) phone plug adapter. Amazon.com Specifically designed for digital music with wide program dynamics, Audio-Technica's mid-size ATH-M2X headphones are perfect for use with home and project studios and portable digital-audio devices like CD, minidisc, and MP3 players
  • The headphones use an open-back design that lets its large, 40 mm drivers "breathe" better than closed-back designs, eliminating unwanted low-frequency resonances that often color the sound from closed-ear headphones
  • While this helps the sound quality, be aware that it also makes them a little noisier for those around you--and permits noise from without to be audible through the headphones
  • The high-performance drivers use efficient, low-mass diaphragms that are easily driven by most headphone jacks
  • An 11.5-foot cable grants extended movement from and around your audio source, and the .125-inch-terminated cable comes with a .25-inch adapter plug for use with home audio components
  • What's in the Box Headphones, adapter plug, and a data sheet.
