If you're debating against the Blue Yeti or the AT2020 versus this, but REALLY don't feel like spending the extra money, this is a great buy
Well-priced for the beginner and a great buy for the experienced podcaster who wants to do more.
But from someone who wanted a quality microphone that didn't cost a ton, this was a great buy, and all of my friends say it sounds awesome when I talk to them on skype/mumble/vent whatever
The microphone was delivered a week early, and was an excellent buy
However, in the last few weeks, I've noticed an issue where there's a static-y noise in my recordings and i haven't changed anything
Overall,i would give this microphone a rating of 5 stars for its cheap price and value for money.
Quality and a cheaper price is something it definitely delivers on
The stand is a bit short, and doesn't rotate very freely, but the microphone itself is a great budget microphone for anyone needing high-quality audio input at a cheap price.
Great sound quality from this microphone, fits all my needs for making videos, at a good price
The price isn't so great when you also have to buy a ten dollar mic stand
other than that its an amazing product with great quality.
I would not recommend this product (or its maker) to anyone.
; I use Audacity), but after hooking it up to a different computer in a different room with a different program...same bad background noise, clear indicator of a bad product
Great product, will be looking at Audio-Technica in the future!
Great product, no need to spend more than what you would spend on this product.
If you're recording in an imperfect recording environment (which the vast majority of people are), this really allows you to get very good audio without worrying too much about acoustics
My son enjoys recording and this is a very good microphone he said
This is a nice microphone that offers clear recording and easy operation.
Pros:Great sound when recording or on Skype calls and live streams
I was so excited to receive this microphone because I could finally start recording my music but now, not even 3 months later, the place to plug the microphone into the usb cord is broken
:NoneOverall:I'm loving my mic works well with my setup
great mic works well with everything I do only thing that's bad is the smell but it goes away after a while
This is pretty upsetting, but the actually microphone works quite well.
great mic works well with everything I do only thing that's bad is the smell but it goes away after a while
This one worked fine for a month and now is suffering the same issue where the USB port on the bottom of the microphone falls into the microphone, rending it useless
I use it for acoustic recording, vocals/singing, as well as for YouTube
Yes, I can hear what I'm recording, but I wanted to get this for audiobook narration in a relatively noisy room, but I can't very well read a book while I'm trying to swallow a microphone (since that's how close it has to be to my mouth to hear anything.
The ATR-2100 being a dynamic microphone means that it doesn't require 48V phantom power and it's less sensitive to ambient noise
Well it worked as long as you held the cord a very specific way

Other than that, it's a fantastic USB mic, not perfect as it is
I feel FORCED to give a 2-star rating because of terrible support and lack of owning up to the manufacturer defect

It picks up the mids and highs pretty well, but seems to be lacking body, as opposed to the higher end AT2020, which sounds much more full but is similar in terms of sound in the mid and high ranges
Definitely want to buy a separate mic stand cause the one that they give you is a piece of junk...made from cheap, flimsy plastic (it works but not very secure).
Build quality is great, not a cheap plastic Mic at all, metal body and it has a good weight in your hands.
, It wasn't appealing to have this nice solid mic and a cheap plastic stand, another thing I noticed is that if dropped the top part of the mic will open up

While the stand isn't the sturdiest -- it's easy to knock over because it's top-heavy with the mic on it -- it's enough to get you started
Looks awesome as well.4 stars only because the mic stand is terrible
The mic stand that came with the mic has issues with the mount, positioning and so on
But having to buy a proper mic stand AND a USB to XLR connector, which is easily another
When I put the mic on and turned the top the rings stripped so I had to put tape on it, if you get this then you should probably buy a better stand for it.

After about a month of minimal use the microphone seems to have blown an internal component and instead of barely picking up any room noise it now picks up almost everything
Picks up a fair amount of room noise, so positioning is important.
Audio is clear, doesn't pick up much room noise and it was cheap, can't say much more
The two little nifty buttons on the front of the mic are used to adjust gain (aka mic volume/sensitivity?) and also computer volume
If you found this review helpful then please hit that helpful button.
just fine only annoying thing is that Blue light you might go blind buttons feel cheap but it works that's all I care
The buttons are useless, or as far as I understood, they only raise / lower the main volume for the headphone that you plug in the mic... useless, but the mic sounds good.
(Set the volume BEFORE recording - the buttons made a loud clicking noise on my test recording when I tried adjusting volume during a recording)Metal construction - I expected more plastic on a microphone in this price range
