I'd recommend this as an intro dash cam.

Take a minute to install it correctly and you have a really solid dash cam for the price

Overall, a great dash cam for extra confidence while driving into the chaos that is rush hour in the USA.

If you need a cheap dash cam and you don't want to know it's there until you need it, this one is pretty much perfect.

So far, no spurious stops in recording, no failing to start when I start the car, no weird disk errors, which is a lot better than I can say about my previous overpriced rearview mirror cam.**UPDATE: bought 2nd cam for wife.

Tool is also smooth and blunt as to not mar auto interior finishes.
