I picked this up to see if it would improve the reception any on my Baofeng BF-F8HP radio

I tried it on some 2M and 70cm frequencies where reception was a little blotchy with the stock antenna

I used to walk to the corner of the block with the dogs and pretty much loose reception to the store (0.25 miles).

Of the 25 or so repeater frequencies in both bands that I had programmed into my BF-F8HP, over half of them were unreachable with the NA-771.The NA-771 might improve reception on other HTs, but definitely not with the BF-F8HP.
