I am also very impressed by the microphone preamp in this interface - it provides enough gain for Behringer XM8500 and AKG D5, which is something that a few other interfaces in this price range failed to do.

In addition, the preamp in Avid Fast Trask Solo provides a much cleaner gain compared to the preamps in Steinberg UR12 and M-Audio Fast Track Pro
