I haven't scanned a ton of photos yet, but I did quite a sizeable stack and each one scanned very quickly, stayed straight as it went through the feeder, and came out in a good quality on my computer

I tried this in both 300 and 600 dpi scan modes and the pictures were dark and of such poor quality the subjects were almost unrecognizable.

My larger issue with the product is the quality of the scans, and I tried some of the photos with problems at both the 300 dpi resolution and the 600 dpi

And the scanner comes with a calibration card to feed through if the scan quality starts to deteriorate.

Any way you use it the quality and ease of use are very good and the weight is minimal as to the portability

Scan quality is fine for old photos.

The quality on the 600dpi setting was not always perfect, but I was scanning photos from the early 90s, some of which were taken I poor lighting, so I can't put that complaint on the scanner
