With a brand that was unrecognizable to me brand and a very reasonable price my expectations were that the performanceI would be merely adequate.

The speakers are on the front of the TV and therefore provide great volume

Sound from the speakers had sufficient volume and was of better quality than what I expected from a small TV

The others I had needed external speakers to provide good volume

It is not something I'd watch a hi-def movie on, but like I said, for small spaces, where sound is not important it is worth the money.

We were going to send it back if we could not improve the sound, but $19.00 for the external speaker was a great cure.

The sound is horrible and I am unable to adjust satisfactorily.
