The took a few smaller books and tied them together inside of this book cover which gives it an awkward look from the side
The only thing that is making me keep this is that it was pretty cheap for my purpose and I love the look of the material

The leather is thick and the impression on the front is of good quality

The journal is just as described - beautiful leather and raw paper
The leather is stiff and brittle feeling, if it’s leather at all, and the paper is so soft it feels more like Kleenex than something I could actually write on
Also, the paper is very coarse, which is not a problem for me, but it might be for some people

Also the pages are protected by a secondary flap so that it doesn't muss up the pages.
Where do I begin?The pages are thick enough that I can write with a fountain pen, highlighter the whole shebang, and it doesn't bleed through
The only thing I saw of concern is that if not handled gently it looks as though the string holding the pages in could come loose
The pages don't tear when erasing or pressing hard with the pencil, and love how you can refill the book with more pages
I like how the pages are made it makes it easy for lead pencils to blend (shading) , the pages are smooth and strong
