Since the baking was so uneven, I think the unit is hotter on one side than the other.

A number of people have said that the unit runs too hot either burning their fingers or burning the batter.

Overall, I'd say this unit is worth it, especially if you need to make a lot of pops

The cake pop tray had cake remnants and the unit was greasy

, the pickup fork works great, and the pops cook perfectly, we used a little scoop to put batter in the pan, only drawback was that the teflon coating started to wear after about 200 cake pops and some of the graphics on the outside of the unit started to peel, but all in all a good unit for the money, then next one we get will be the swivel unit, like a commercial waffle maker.
