I was always impressed with the A2's sound reproduction for its size but A/B'ing the A2 and the 17 showed how much better range and fullness the 17 has - and rightly so for its size

My closing observation is that the sound quality from this speaker is truly outstanding, the highs are crisp and transparent and the bass is pleasant, strong and not muddy.

The Beolit 17 is fun to use and also $100 cheaper than the older Beolit 12 and 15, coming in at $499

However, I have to say B&O blew me away with this speaker.

Also, the BeoLit 17 is not compatible with the Beo4 remote control.
