Reviews around bose (5.00 of 5)

  • Thank you B&O for sending these H8i headphones almost fully charged.
  • These B&O are comfortable enough, though I am surprised at how thick the head band is
  • My better on-ear’s include Beyerdynamic Aventho, Sennheiser HD1, Bose Soundlink, the more reasonable Ghostek Rapture and now the Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H8i
  • There is a very very slight hiss when the cancelation is active that is only really noticeable if you aren't listening to anything through the headphones (this is normal for any noise canceling headphone and the b&o is a lot quieter than any others I've used)
  • The H8i has the most luxurious and full sound of any pair of headphones I have ever worn, and this includes some very nice Bose headphones.

Reviews around design (5.00 of 5)

  • Overall, I would recommend these if you're looking for a well-designed, good-sounding pair of headphones with good sound quality, ANC, and USB-
  • Features & etc:I’m still trying things out—like the transparancy and the noise cancellation
  • Where do I begin??I do love the look and design of these headphones
  • These headphones are clearly high quality and well-designed
  • My better on-ear’s include Beyerdynamic Aventho, Sennheiser HD1, Bose Soundlink, the more reasonable Ghostek Rapture and now the Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H8i

Reviews around work (4.30 of 5)

  • Super clear and crisp, the noise cancelation works very well at eliminating any background noise and is easily turned on or off
  • There is a very very slight hiss when the cancelation is active that is only really noticeable if you aren't listening to anything through the headphones (this is normal for any noise canceling headphone and the b&o is a lot quieter than any others I've used)
  • Small memory foam earpads work well to block out noise and leave enough space so that you can wear eyeglasses/sunglasses without feeling too much pressure or heat during long listening sessions
  • I also listen to YouTube with these on and the pause feature works well on any of these devices.
  • The phone feature works quite well, easy to pair and answer calls.

Reviews around bass (4.16 of 5)

  • My better on-ear’s include Beyerdynamic Aventho, Sennheiser HD1, Bose Soundlink, the more reasonable Ghostek Rapture and now the Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H8i
  • Enough bass to make me happy, but not like the type you hear that rattles your windows
  • They have high and they have such incredible bass that it feels weird to not be feeling it in your chest at the same time
  • The B&O’s have crisp treble, clear mid-range and solid bass.
  • My better on-ear’s include Beyerdynamic Aventho, Sennheiser HD1, Bose Soundlink, the more reasonable Ghostek Rapture and now the Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H8i

Reviews around noise cancelation (4.04 of 5)

  • Thank you B&O for sending these H8i headphones almost fully charged.
  • The proximity sensor (to pause and play when you take off and put on the headphones, respectively) is a smart feature but sometimes doesn't work as reliably as it should

  • n’t understand this design flaw on what should be really great headphones.—————First off, I recommend you download the app (as they indicate) and use the instruction there since the instructions included in the box are pretty useless (unless you know what you are doing and if you do then you won’t care about instructions)

Reviews around use (4.03 of 5)

  • They are comfortable and light, but I'm not used to large headphones so they want to fall forward and swing off my head when I look down too sharply
  • The soft bag for the storage of the headphones does not close tightly so the small included plug adapter (adapter would be used on a flight if you need to plug in to the airplanes system) might fall out easily
  • My better on-ear’s include Beyerdynamic Aventho, Sennheiser HD1, Bose Soundlink, the more reasonable Ghostek Rapture and now the Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H8i
  • Flexible (USB-C micro jack can be used to plug into a computer
  • Recommended uses:Mostly used for commuting or in noisy environments or workplace

Reviews around anc (3.44 of 5)

  • The H8i also allows you to disable the ANC and also gives you the option to allow ambient sound in
  • The ANC could be a bit better, but it's also not stifling, which is good
  • The proximity sensor (to pause and play when you take off and put on the headphones, respectively) is a smart feature but sometimes doesn't work as reliably as it should
  • The H8i has much better ANC than the only other one in my collection, the Sennheiser HD1

Reviews around bag (3.44 of 5)

  • The B&O Play comes with the headphones of course, USB charging cord, an outlet adapter, a cord if you don’t want to or can’t use the Bluetooth feature, useless instruction booklet, and a soft cloth bag
  • The soft bag for the storage of the headphones does not close tightly so the small included plug adapter (adapter would be used on a flight if you need to plug in to the airplanes system) might fall out easily
  • The proximity sensor (to pause and play when you take off and put on the headphones, respectively) is a smart feature but sometimes doesn't work as reliably as it should
  • As for the soft cloth bag to keep everything in: this is another reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 (other than the slipping around of the headphones)
  • The soft bag for the storage of the headphones does not close tightly so the small included plug adapter (adapter would be used on a flight if you need to plug in to the airplanes system) might fall out easily

Reviews around headphone (3.25 of 5)

  • As a person with hearing aids, I have to use headphones as opposed to earbuds
  • I am having a similar issue to other reviewers where if I lean over, the headphones will fall off
  • The proximity sensor (to pause and play when you take off and put on the headphones, respectively) is a smart feature but sometimes doesn't work as reliably as it should

Reviews around battery life (3.22 of 5)

  • They take quite some time to charge-up, about 3 hours, but the battery life is excellent
  • The proximity sensor (to pause and play when you take off and put on the headphones, respectively) is a smart feature but sometimes doesn't work as reliably as it should
  • The non-removable battery life is an astounding 30 HOURS!

Reviews around headset (3.22 of 5)

  • In conclusion, this headset is very pleasant and very efficient
  • The proximity sensor (to pause and play when you take off and put on the headphones, respectively) is a smart feature but sometimes doesn't work as reliably as it should
  • My inexpensive bluetooth phone headset tells me by voice when the battery is low and when I put those on they tell me how much battery I have left
  • My better on-ear’s include Beyerdynamic Aventho, Sennheiser HD1, Bose Soundlink, the more reasonable Ghostek Rapture and now the Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H8i
  • The headsets themselves do not feel cheap but aren't incredibly heavy either
