Reviews around quality (5.00 of 5)

  • Bottom line is that the M5 offers reasonable sound quality that doesn't make you want to get up and turn it off
  • The sound quality is excellent and, unlike some other speakers, the connection to my phone is clear and doesn't drop even when I wander to the far end of the house.
  • Sound quality is sensitive to placement - put the M5 in a corner and you'll get more bass, but not as good dispersion
  • But once that was done, I found it has great sound quality.
  • Overall, the Bang & Olufsen M5 is expensive but has the best sound quality and is the best looking wireless speaker over Sonos and Denon

Reviews around way (5.00 of 5)

  • He'd stated that the best way to ensure a strong and consistent connection is to hook it up to your home network, but even having mine hardwired via Ethernet cable to the network, the BeoPlay app STILL doesn't see my M5 - even though I've ensured that my iPhone is connected directly to the thing via Bluetooth, and the Ethernet cable has it hardwired into my WiFi network
  • Don't even bother playing video games with this as there's just no way to sync it
  • That aside, best way I can describe the sound quality would be to compare the M5 to some of the other speakers I routinely listen to
  • Flow is the best way to describe the best part and value of this speaker
  • I like the way the M5 sounds and I that it recedes into the background

Reviews around design (5.00 of 5)

  • This is an aesthetically well-designed piece and just so pleasant to see on the table
  • It produces just as great quality sound, it connects with no problem, the design is modern and doesn't look like a throwback to the Mod days of the 60s (what's up with this woolly sleeve, anyway?), and the control buttons are easy to access... not buried on the underside of the speaker as is the case here
  • PROs:-beautiful design-sounds incredible-more features than Sonos including Airplay & Bluetooth connection.-omni-directional sound is better than the SONOS.-stylish metal pancake volume knob on top

Reviews around aluminum top (4.53 of 5)

  • Once you set it up, simply press down on the Beoplay M5's nicely machined aluminum top to control the music's volume or to pause it
  • You don’t ever need to touch the speakers as the app can be the brains on what you want to do.- The aluminum top is pretty neat as you can control the volume, pause, and play any music with just a twist or a press down.-
  • The B&O is the most expensive of the three now that the Denon 7 has dropped in price
  • The Bang & Olufsen M5 can be controlled with touch control of the aluminum top

Reviews around beolit (4.45 of 5)

  • The Beolit was excellent for this, but I rarely used the portability of it and got sick of having to manually turn it on each time I wanted to cast some music from the other room (lazy- yeah).Setup:Really frustrating setup process via the app(s)
  • From the other direction, I have a few similarly priced Bose products (including the SoundTouch IV), and I'd say that I prefer the B&O to any of the Bose products I have
  • I loved my Beolit 15, but this speaker was nowhere near in comparison to it.
  • The B&O is the most expensive of the three now that the Denon 7 has dropped in price
  • First, let me say that the champ by a wide margin is B&O's A9

Reviews around m5 (3.56 of 5)

  • Compared the the Beolit 15, the M5 is much clearer in the highs, slightly less punch in the mid bass (not a bad
  • Once you set it up, simply press down on the Beoplay M5's nicely machined aluminum top to control the music's volume or to pause it
  • That is my second B&O wireless speaker and it is awesome! The M5 is always available in my Airplay list whereas my A6 remains sometimes hidden for a short amount of time
  • The M5 is definitely worth an audition if you're looking for a high quality, compact speaker in it's price range.
  • The True360 M5 is pricey, but once you hear it, you'll understand why

Reviews around app (3.16 of 5)

  • The apps are buggy it works on iPhone but on my android apps wont detect
  • Perhaps in the future Bang & Olufsen will update their app so that it plays well with ALL others, but as of right now, NOTHING that I do to get the app to "see" this M5 works
  • Functionality is split over 2 different iOS apps, BeoSetup and Beoplay
  • I then tried the Beosetup app from app store and that still wouldn't work
  • That new app has about as many bugs in it as a swamp does.
