Bottom line is that the M5 offers reasonable sound quality that doesn't make you want to get up and turn it off

The sound quality is excellent and, unlike some other speakers, the connection to my phone is clear and doesn't drop even when I wander to the far end of the house.

Sound quality is sensitive to placement - put the M5 in a corner and you'll get more bass, but not as good dispersion

But once that was done, I found it has great sound quality.

Overall, the Bang & Olufsen M5 is expensive but has the best sound quality and is the best looking wireless speaker over Sonos and Denon

He'd stated that the best way to ensure a strong and consistent connection is to hook it up to your home network, but even having mine hardwired via Ethernet cable to the network, the BeoPlay app STILL doesn't see my M5 - even though I've ensured that my iPhone is connected directly to the thing via Bluetooth, and the Ethernet cable has it hardwired into my WiFi network

Don't even bother playing video games with this as there's just no way to sync it

That aside, best way I can describe the sound quality would be to compare the M5 to some of the other speakers I routinely listen to

Flow is the best way to describe the best part and value of this speaker

I like the way the M5 sounds and I that it recedes into the background

This is an aesthetically well-designed piece and just so pleasant to see on the table

It produces just as great quality sound, it connects with no problem, the design is modern and doesn't look like a throwback to the Mod days of the 60s (what's up with this woolly sleeve, anyway?), and the control buttons are easy to access... not buried on the underside of the speaker as is the case here

That is my second B&O wireless speaker and it is awesome!The M5 is always available in my Airplay list whereas my A6 remains sometimes hidden for a short amount of time

The M5 is definitely worth an audition if you're looking for a high quality, compact speaker in it's price range.

The apps are buggy it works on iPhone but on my android apps wont detect

Perhaps in the future Bang & Olufsen will update their app so that it plays well with ALL others, but as of right now, NOTHING that I do to get the app to "see" this M5 works

Functionality is split over 2 different iOS apps, BeoSetup and Beoplay

I then tried the Beosetup app from app store and that still wouldn't work

That new app has about as many bugs in it as a swamp does.
