Achieved good intonation although action was still a little high, which can be addressed after it settles in.

Intonation wise, things are not great but what you'd expect for a $90, made-in-China instrument that's had no professional set up.

Placing the Popsicle stick under the bridge and then re-adjusting the bridge to get proper intonation, the buzzing was gone and the strings sounded fine

great!my one eye roll moment while trying out this banjo to compare to mine is that Kmise skimped on spacers for the back resonates plate

for about a buck at home depot you can buy small (thicker the better) washers and install them as spacers on the back plate (which does infact come off, just unscrew the little screws and put the washers/spacers on to the screw and reattach the back plate the space now created between the banjo body and the back plate, up tue volume

One other reviewer recommended a shorter bridge and that's not a bad idea, just one that I haven't tried.

Just place the bridge so that the twelfth fret is halfway between the bridge and the nut, and then adjust the bridge in tiny steps until fretting the G and A strings at the 12th fret shows double the frequency of an open string

The bridge was easy to place, but the grooves in the bridge are too shallow and the strings slip out when I try to play.

This appeared to be the result of having the action of the strings too low, so I turned to an extremely high-tech solution: I shimmed the bridge with a Popsicle stick (suitably cleaned first, of course!)

Honestly this is a barrel of fun, I love playing it, and seems very well made at a great price point.

Nice introductory concert banjolele at a reasonable price.

The price is right, and for the money I paid I wasn't expecting a to be a Vega White Ladye or anything

The frets are nicely laid in with no rough edges

A bit of sand paper to ease the edges will help here.

(I've had much more expensive ukes with dangerously sharp edges, so this is a welcome surprise.)

While we're up there, the headstock itself has a sharp edge to it.
