While the supplied rubber duck antenna works well, I would recommend a better antenna if you are going to use inside your home.

Overall, a great product and I use it for airsoft and work purposes and would recommend it to anyone (in fact, I have!)

Really a great value with how much you save vs buying a UV-5R with the basic battery I will probably not even use and a separate 3800mah battery.

They are an incredible value and if they help more people get into the hobby, I'm all for it.

but it is a great value if you just want a cheap radio to experiment with.

A 15.6" antenna will run you roughly $16 or for and additional $2, you can get a 17.7" long antenna which just boosts your range by all that much more

Radio works great, however the battery has a hard time staying connected

It works as advertised and when used with it's programming cable and the CHIRP program (available on the web), programming is easy to do

good for price, these radios are hit and miss, almost seems like poor quality control

Once they showed up I noticed they were actually really good quality and had good range

Overall I highly recommend this radio, for the price you can't beat it, and the quality is excellent as well

Seeing as this radio is part 90 certified by the FCC for commercial use (and its price point well below $100

Also for the price if you break it not to big of deal because its cheap

The price is right and in the future I will only buy it with the bigger battery.

These radios perform well and at the very least are good for first time users looking to get on the air for a good price

Great battery performance with its 2800 mha, power at 1 watt / 4 watts good for outdoor use, not powerful enough for indoor to adequately reach the repeaters in our area.

The extended battery works great, adds lots of run time and makes the radio taller which I like.@Amazon;

Radio functions fine, Charger functions fine, Battery is garbage

Won't stay powered up , checked for bad battery connection was not the case !!
