    • Battery life is weak, hard to put in the charge cradle.
    • Battery life is great, even in freezing temps.
    • Two slight dings, neither worth a star: shorter battery life than the UV-5R, and a weird way to switch between Channel and Frequency mode (off then on again, while holding down the Menu button).Overall this unit is great, and for the price of a certain handheld that starts with a "Y", you could buy three of these PLUS Nagoya antenna upgrades (recommended) and extra battery packs
