Once adjusted it does not grind consistent enough for good espresso

Went to my local target and picked up a Mr. Coffee and have been happily enjoying espresso and drip ground coffee for the last month now.

Just get it, you’ll never be able to blame bad espresso on your grinder again.

So when the PERFECT espresso flavor I'm chasing exists between two single jumps in grind setting.. you can imagine the frustration

It’s a good entry level espresso maker and the grind size was clogging up

I've owned several less expensive espresso grinders and even one more expensive

I use a flair espresso, a manual machine, the adjustments are not extremely precise but in my experience enough to make a really good espresso, it gives perfectly fluffy grounds really fast

It grinds fine enough for espresso and coarse enough for regular coffee (drip)

This grinder is perfect for espresso yet look elsewhere if you also enjoy the french press

Within 1 level of coarsness, the espresso was amazing.

I know my espresso isn't truly dialed in like how I'd want it to be, but I can accept it for the price difference.

I'm really bothered that I'm still on the hunt for a solid espresso grinder that doesn't cost $1K.

I then set the grind to the recommended setting and get a perfect espresso grind.

The recommended espresso grind numbers were too low for my Delonghi

This combined with well roasted beans has come close enough in quality to an espresso from the local coffee bars that I can't tell enough of a difference to merit 'needing' to visit them for good espresso

For the value it is a good start for someone that wants a consistent fine espresso, or coarser, grind

What i mean by that is i tried a 15 grind and the espresso was bitter, at 17 it was chocolatey and balanced with no bitterness.
