The light in the collection bin is a handy feature.
The timer is a fantastic feature for me
This new one has great features: a timer, a clear plastic bin, and a heavier base to keep it from sliding around the counter so much (the old one eventually lost its rubber feet & tended to move).
I really like the features of this grinder
The LED lighting is a really nice feature that I enjoy.

The fixed settings doesn't allow me to adjust espresso grind as finely as I like, but still I'm able to get the grind for a good shot of espresso on my Flair Pro 2.
We have owned this grinder over a year now and it is a great investment
Several of our friends have bought this grinder after tasing our coffee - a great investment if you like coffee.
I roast my own beans from Sweet Maria’s, make three cups a day for the last 12
Great long term investment if you plan to drink coffee for the foreseeable future.
The grinder looks lovely on my small apartment counter top, doesn't make too much noise, and makes a great cup of coffee.
I’ve always thought a good cup of coffee is one of the best parts of my day.
My wife thought I had made coffee using different beans than our usual and said that it was one of the best cups of coffee she has had.
I can also grind one cup of coffee worth of beans or one pot full
This will, of course, occur when it is most inconvenient, such as when you're half-asleep and just need a damn cup of coffee, or when you are rushing to an important morning meeting, or, heaven help you, you are nursing a hangover and just need some joe to get your head straight
The Virtuoso "Plus" has a couple of features that I really like, such as the LED light that lets you see the fill level in the grounds bin and the digital readout on the front display
I also really love the LED light in the canister so you can see the grinds
The LED light and the transparent bin allows you to see the grind
The LED lighting is a really nice feature that I enjoy.
Now you'll be crushing 100g of coffee in 10 seconds flat.
Very clearly worth the price, and able to be repaired and renewed at a very modest cost.
And a good price.
One of the biggest selling points of this grinder is the fact that you can pretty much buy an entire new unit piece by piece at reasonable prices
I have not been disappointed, but it is not without a decent price tag.
The fixed settings doesn't allow me to adjust espresso grind as finely as I like, but still I'm able to get the grind for a good shot of espresso on my Flair Pro 2.
I haven't cleaned this machine, yet, but otherwise it exceeds expectations
I use a French press, so my coffee is not ground fine, but even so, this grinder produces a very fine residue of grounds that builds up quickly and jams the machine, requiring disassembly and cleaning
If you’re more of a ballpark scoop sort of coffee brewer then the Virtuoso+ is likely a great machine for you.
The Baratza also happens to be a gorgeous, compact machine.
The machine was famous in the coffee drinkers and baristas
The fixed settings doesn't allow me to adjust espresso grind as finely as I like, but still I'm able to get the grind for a good shot of espresso on my Flair Pro 2.
I contacted their customer support and got a replacement, thinking the unit I purchased from Amazon was defective in some way, but that has also had the same disappointing grind quality
the finish is really poor quality, you can see grinder marks in the
We’ve been purchasing good quality whole bean coffee for years, grinding fresh every brew, but something was missing
The grind quality on this grinder is definitely much better, more consistent, and faster than it was with my Capresso Infinity.
I love this product, I like to buy the new version of the virtuoso, but the old one I own refuses to die, it still grinds my coffee in a daily basis
I am getting old, but this product stays the same, damn, I feel sad.
if you love cleaning up coffee grounds from your countertop, this is the product for you
I seriously doubt this machine, which is clearly over built for what it's designed to do, couldn't have been given a timer that goes up to a full minute or even 90 seconds... at the end of the day, this isn't a huge problem, just an inconvenience... but for an expensive product, it's worth a star.
If I can't fix a product and the company won't support the product, I'm not really comfortable with that amount of risk and waste
Now you'll be crushing 100g of coffee in 10 seconds flat.
I admit that I don't weigh my coffee, so this is the next best thing
Baratza is a quality brand but this thing was faulty from the first use.
This thing is great and you can’t tell why it costs what it does
The fixed settings doesn't allow me to adjust espresso grind as finely as I like, but still I'm able to get the grind for a good shot of espresso on my Flair Pro 2.
I like a strong cup, I buy good beans, and I have a simple brewing process I’ve worked out
YES, we used to make cold brew with our tiny hand crank, do not reccomend.
I use it for aeropress, moka pot, pour over, chemex, french press and cold brew.
We use mostly a French press, pour over and cold brew- for all three settings I’ve found minimal coffee dust in the grinds- especially impaired to my old burr grinder and even more so compared to a standard blade
A good brewing method, great beans, and a conical grinder like this one is an awesome combination for the start of the day.
For my Chemex coffee-making pour-over system, this grinder is perfect every time.
One more button (this time on the brewer) and a fresh pot of fresh ground coffee is ready same time as my toast or English muffin!
Because I weigh my coffee beans, I anticipated not using the timed-grind feature.
Always ground at their finest setting and it took a very long time to grind 3 pounds of beans and I never considered these machines very well maintained and handled by way too many people.
Of course the next time you grind it would push those grinds out.
We’ve been purchasing good quality whole bean coffee for years, grinding fresh every brew, but something was missing
I roasted my own beans and ground them in this easy to use, well constructed, easy to clean
A good brewing method, great beans, and a conical grinder like this one is an awesome combination for the start of the day.
Very nice quality does a great job grinding fresh beans - my only complaint is that some of the ground do seem to miss the hoper - its not a lot at all but enough that I do have to wipe it out now and then
Noise level is very good based on the grinding necessary to evenly grind coffee beans which it does excellently
Now you'll be crushing 100g of coffee in 10 seconds flat.
Other coffee grinders I've used or owned were slow, noisy, and produced uneven grinds that clung to the receiver when it was opened (and often caused grinds to scatter on the countertop).
No mess, no static cling, no overheating the coffee, fairly quiet, consistent grind and flavor, doesn't stop up, easy to clean and operate
We can now stand right in front of the machine while it is on, there is little to no static cling action going on in the bin, the timer goes down to a tenth of a second for precision grinding (in other words...you can change grind times for stronger or weaker beans)
I love the solid, well built feel of it and the quiet grind; no static cling or mess
So here's the annoying bit about my brand new and rather expensive coffee grinder
It seems like a good design which comes apart well but the rubber gasket might be a bit tricky at first.
The fixed settings doesn't allow me to adjust espresso grind as finely as I like, but still I'm able to get the grind for a good shot of espresso on my Flair Pro 2.
It is a bit loud, but I only need to run it for about 15 to 20 seconds to get a cup of coffee.
