We have actually never used it as a fryer or griddle lid, as it's intended, but for the purpose of baking bread, this pan has been awesome!

The edges of the the lid and pan are sharp and uneven which leads me to believe that they didn't finish or smooth out the pan after it was cast

Preheated this Bayou Classic to 500 then turn it down to 450 to bake.

The lid of the cooker fit very well on my pan and the size is just perfect to sit on the two burners on your cooktop to use as a griddle

I plan to strip off the seasoning in my self-cleaning oven and re-season it.

If you don't like it, you can always burn your seasoning off and sand it down later.
