And even more unfortunate - I can't even gauge whether this this is good for an 8 channel piece because upon installation, the drivers are failing to recognize the device

It's complex stuff, and although they use the same parts and techniques as everyone else, and sell gear for less, Behringer doesn't have the staff to write drivers and really support it

After contacting Music Group (The people who do warranty work on them) it took several weeks to get them to understand the the correct drivers were installed

I had better things to do, so I set the FCA610 aside

Other than the unreliability issue, these things are great for the home musician, and I've gigged with them multiple times as well (except for that one show where it blew up before we hit the stage...)

All these cheap interfaces propose what they call "zero latency monitoring"

For the money, this interface will be tough to beat.
