Smooth but firm, not a cheap feel at all

It's surprisingly lightweight/hollow feeling, which makes me wonder if they could have made it more

It the looks belie the cheap tactile feel of the unit

The top mounted plastic dials are a bit too cheap-feeling for my taste and the fact is that you can get something better, from the same company, by just spending a few extra bucks.
