This unit works as advertised

It's a hefty plastic unit, unlike the cheesy 9V connectors found on most

So it seems like the unit itself was creating signal noise

Thought I'd use this cheaper unit on my secondary board that has the EHX B9 organ pedal on it (that always kinda has a little organ-sounding noise going on) but quickly found through an A/B test that this one opens up more naturally (when setting it so it kills the signal that is just noise from my distortion pedals I can still play softly and have the signal come through - the EHX had a weird delay and took a lot of signal to get the gate to open up)
