At first, it had trouble tracking my notes- it wouldn't generate a consistent "bass line" from what I was playing
This gives me a good, strong bass line with clear attack and a bit of "rumble" (playing through a larger PA recently, I could feel the stage vibrating under my feet)

Although I don't care for this pedal, I see some Behringer items as a very good value and wish they had been available in my younger years.
This item is not perfect, it works ok, have used 3 different amps, (Acoustic, one speaker amp, and larger 2 speaker amp) and it does the same, a little feed back, unwanted noise and distortion
As for the "cheap" plastic housing, it's ABS and I highly doubt anyone will crack it unless you are sh@t-kicking the hell out of it with a steel toed boot

It would be a wonderful feature, if it worked well.

The Direct dial does a great job of blending the sound in, and the range control is a great feature

The pedal needs an overall gain knob -- you have the ability to separately control the amount of original signal, as well as individually for both octave one and two, but not an overall volume control... which means that hitting the pedal can produce a boost in your volume which you would have to control with an external volume pedal.4) It would be nice to be able to switch between lower and higher octaves.
Volume controls aren't great, basically just use it on max all the time

But if you're looking for a basic, affordable octave effect, as I was, you need to look elsewhere.
However, this same effect can be leveraged to produce percussion sounds- if you've ever tried creating a rhythm loop by thumping your hand or thumb against the bridge or body of an electric-acoustic, you know how unsatisfyingly week that bass sound can be- this will enhance and amplify that, giving you a deep, floor-shaking "thump".Read more
But if you try an old-fashioned Carter-style flat-picking "boom-chuck," that is, bass string followed by a brush of the rest of the chord, the effect is muddy and crashy.
I ordered this because I needed an inexpensive lower octave effect to use on someone's voice for a show
The effects work just as described in the product info.
The case is made of a tough plastic and the knobs and switch feel strong

In addition the pedal is physically flimsy and the plastic feels like it could crack if stepped on too hard
*** yeah, ship this baby out."Cheap plastic casing, replacing batteries is cumbersome because of poor design, and most of all it sounds like poo

Lay down a guitar riff, use this to fake a bass track, then solo.
The problem is that the pedal has horrible tracking anything between E and A on a standard tuned guitar, and it completely s**ts the bed when you play multiple strings
But this pedal tracks very poorly and on a sustained note longer than a second, loses track of the note and outputs a very unmusical growl.
the tracking is maybe even a little worse than the similar arion one i had in the 90s... perfect for noise though if you wanna beef up that wimpy contact mic tone u scrub
