  • I prefer the sound of this via analog out and i have a seriously resolving system
  • You will also find people who've modified the unit to produce better sound -- which is not something you'd want to take on -- but at least speaks to the quality of the core component that the unit is built around, which is the chip that implements the D/A (digital/analog) and A/D conversions

Reviews around end (5.00 of 5)

  • Pair this with a competent used cd/dvd transport (plentiful and inexpensive online these days) and you have a stellar high end player for the cost of one of those overpriced 'magical' interconnects
  • The 2496 is the price of dinner and a movie with your partner and brings digital quality almost to the level of top end vinyl (32-bit/192khz would put it on-par IMHO).
  • Because i have been hands on with the most high end gear available and i need to know my gear inside out to be able to troubleshoot these expensive products n Christmas day when a clients household guest messes up a setting that affects system playback and you get a call describing lights and buttons

Reviews around channel (5.00 of 5)

  • After a bunch of fidgeting I figured out that if I turn the gain knob way up or way down (escaping the now-dead zone) the right channel comes back
  • The starboard (right) channel suddenly dropped out
  • Otherwise, no right channel

Reviews around behringer (5.00 of 5)

  • Ultimate 70 dynaco, teac distinction, hypex, class d audio sds, nuforce, harmon signature 2.1, emotiva and every conceivable combination i have tried with this humble behringer could easily be reference worthy reproduction.
  • I think this function alone makes the Behringer a great value for the money

Reviews around piece (5.00 of 5)

  • As for the reputation that Behringer equipment has in some circles, (I don't know how it got started), This is my second piece of Behringer electronics and so far, they have been among the finest pieces of technology I have ever owned (I just ordered a third Behringer product).
  • This is quite a versatile piece of equipment...especially if one needs A/D as well as sample rate conversion between sources.
