Reviews around quality (5.00 of 5)

  • Phantom power is provided, but is only selectable to either both channels or neither, although providing phantom power to a dynamic microphone should not cause issues if you have decent-quality cabling and microphones
  • A variety of "voice-changing" effects are also provided, which may be amusing for a karaoke show or similar event which involves numerous inebriated persons, but likewise did not provide a suitable output quality for any bona-fide professional use
  • For this simple setup this product provided user-friendly operation and an adequate sound quality

Reviews around unit (5.00 of 5)

  • I put 4 rubber feet on the bottom which greatly helps in stabilizing the unit
  • Thus, I would recommend this unit where a simple utility mixer is required, but would advise most not to count on the built-in effects without thoroughly sampling them first.

Reviews around control (5.00 of 5)

  • While I am unsure of what sort of PA system that only requires a $100-class mixer has a proper control room, it is a convenient feature to have two pairs of stereo outputs, and can eliminate the need for a distribution amplifier (costly) or Y-cable (inexpensive but degrades signal level and signal/noise ratio) on the output
  • good control
  • Everything works without fuss, controls are well labeled, and physical build quality is decent (mostly metal)

Reviews around build (5.00 of 5)

  • The built in FX are quite good
  • I probably could have gone with a smaller mixer, but I love the built in features this one has

Reviews around effect (4.16 of 5)

  • I like the effects that I can add to my mic channels although only a few are useful for my purposes
  • It has my controls, including good effects on every channel,
  • Given that a proper effects unit in and of itself would cost more than this entire mixer (such as Lexicon MX300 Stereo Reverb/Effects Processor), I am not surprised, but the reverb was so muddy as to be useless in any live application
  • Pros:--It has some neat preset effects that you can add to your
  • For the channel inputs, not the mic inputs) which means more clutter and more cables.--Still no power button and you have to unplug it (or buy a toggle switch) from the wall in order for it to turn off.--Preset effects are limited and there are only a handful to choose from, with several variations to each one.

Reviews around behringer (3.86 of 5)

  • I'm done with buying cheap Behringer crap!!!
  • so much that I bought some Behringer Microphones as well, and am very impressed with their Quality!
  • I have also noticed the quality control on these units is not as good as earlier Behringer products.
  • I think this is a definite improvement over the earlier Behringer 802 mixer I really love.

Reviews around price (3.61 of 5)

  • could have gotten 5 stars if pricing was better
  • The price ($81) on Amazon was great.
  • But considering the price point its hard to justify any real criticism
  • Great price and sounds

Reviews around product (3.44 of 5)

  • I like some behringer products, but the technical support department really sucks, won't call you back or text you back

Reviews around reverb (3.44 of 5)

  • Given that a proper effects unit in and of itself would cost more than this entire mixer (such as Lexicon MX300 Stereo Reverb/Effects Processor), I am not surprised, but the reverb was so muddy as to be useless in any live application
  • The reverb is excellent- especially for vocalists like myself.
  • The FX reverb distorted the pipe sounds to such a degree that it sounded like three our four pitches being played at the same time when only one note was being played.

Reviews around sound (3.27 of 5)

  • The sound is a little dark for my tastes, but the 'British EQ' is sonically pleasing and warm.
  • My second complaint is that when the unit is powered off, it puts a big transient on the outputs (you hear a loud "thump" sound).
  • Of course this was years ago, but today you get a great sounding FX section for an additional $20 over the 1002 w/o FX.
  • The sound is transparent and clean in a very compact size for my solo gigs.
  • The voice FX are pretty awesome and all sound clean, crisp, professional
