Put this in my car to support my dash cam and my phone charger, since the only other charging port is in my center console, and can't be closed when plugged in... obnoxious, this resolved that issue for me!
These work great in my cars for plugging in the GPS and other devices PLUS the new iPhone 5 cable to charge my phone without having to purchase "another charger" - best purchase I've made lately for the car!

I just never got around to sending it back since it was only around $15 and I was going to have an electrician friend examine this unit for faulty wiring or poor quality assembly.
Great concept bur poor quality control or design.
Very good quality, feels like sturdy construction, and I like the size.
Good quality that should last forever and with 2 outlets for 12v

Products specifically designed for Apple will result in a much slower charge (as if you had plugged the USB cable into a computer).This product charges my android devices as quickly as if were plugged into the wall at home.

I didn't realize that and thought that I was having problems with my cell phone not charging, when in fact I had it plugged into the lower voltage port.
This adapter has lots of ports and keeps me charged and connected, and works with all my devices.

Have not tried it with my iPad nor will I as I have portable batteries for it if I need to charge it
works as it should but is bulky in my tiny car console (Honda Fit)
Haven't had any problems with everything getting plenty of power with just those 2 things, but I'm sure if I tried to utilize both of the USB ports on this, as well as the two on my adapter, AND the two on my FM transmitter something would probably mess up
Works as it should: increases from one lighter port to two, plus two USB ports.
This works good, but if you leave it plugged in when your car is not on, your battery will go dead.
