I looked at the dash mounted holders as well as the vent mounted holders

the lever to secure the mount is way better than a screw mount would be

So, depending on your phone case style, this mount may or may not work well

I was looking for a mount that was not in the windshield, easy to see without being obtrusive.

Functionally speaking, this is the best car mount I’ve owned for my iPhone

Like others have noted there is a small amount of vibration (hardly objectionable) as mounted in my '09 Civic.

So far this mount is holding really well.

Second, the latch which is used to secure the mount in the CD slot works better than the screw found on other CD mounts.
