As an aside If you want/need an affordable headphone amp I highly recommend the

The clarity across the spectrum is good with clear mids and highs and nice punchy bass that can get satisfyingly deep but not overly boomy
It also has great clarity of high frequencies thanks to the 990's slight emphasis on treble and open back
I like to boost clarity and dynamic bass with Viper4Android on my rooted Axon 7 but this time I can just turn it off and enjoy it as is

Great out of the box, perfect for the kind of guy that plays with an EQ to get just the right sound they like
they leak sound and don't block sound from outside
Sound is good, the high range can be a bit grating at times
This makes the 990 a nice option for gaming just not the "best" option for competitive "sound whoring"
But they have very accurate and very clear sound and positional awareness

It gives a nice wide sound stage which is really good for a lot of situation
AKG Q701's or the legendary AD700's but the DT990's offer a very respectable sound-stage of their own
That being said it is a closed back headphone and while the sound stage is not bad for a closed back, it is also not ideal for nit picking finer details in competitive games
They have great bass response in an open design with better sound stage and detail retrieval
The sound stage is truly a standout in this set but again many will left wanting for more bass

The right speaker will cut out and I will either get horrible audio from it or none at all
I plugged the headphones into other devices and the right speaker was still messed up

I continued to use them with my PC because I was talking with a friend and the right speaker started to work again

My old Steel Series headphones broke
The treble is rather bright, but after a bit of EQ these headphones sound great for EDM and movies.
waste of money sound isn't that clear build quality is aweful comfort is 0/10, this is the only purchase from Amazon that i regret aweful headphones in every way possible
Out of the world quality; clearly the most comfortable headphones and the best audio inhace experienced other than my home theater system
I received the DT 990 Pro Limited Edition, Black headphones as a Christmas present from my girlfriend
