Decent for price but cheap plastic

No matter what I did, I could not get the awful plastic taste out

if its cheap plastic or

I can't get that cheap plastic smell or taste off this coffee maker

The water guage on the side has dark colored plastic not the clear type which makes it hard to see the water level.

I personally did not notice any bad plastic smells or any other bad things that negative reviews describe

Looks sturdy but water reservoir is flimsy plastic

Great coffee, doesn't burn as it stays warm.

The coffee tastes every bit as good as -- or better than -- the coffee I made for 20 years in my now-defunct Krups.

I bought this in april 2015 and it has now stopped working as of Jan 7,2016

Frequently overflows as it's easy to misplace the pot and there's no auto shut off for the pot when that happens

Our future son-in-law had some requirement’s for a coffee-maker: programmable, clock, 12 cup, durable (not cheap looking or functioning), easy to add water and easy to clean

Great and fast--I like my coffee quick and hot when I awaken at O'Dark Thirty!

The only negative is that it doesn't keep the coffee as hot as I like it.

Coffee is not as hot as I like and is much weaker.

Broke as I was cleaning it with a wash cloth.
