BLACK+DECKER 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker, Black and Stainless Steel, CM2030B

    • This item produced coffee with an intense metallic/plastic taste.
    • The problem seems to be the water reservoir itself having a very strong, very persistent plastic stank that just will not go away (4 days and counting)
    • The rest of the coffeemaker is shiny black plastic
    • The only thing I don't like is the plastic-like smell coming from the water reservoir.
    • The cheap plastic leaves every cup of coffee tasting terrible.
    • I could literally taste the cheap plastic
    • the coffee tasted and smelled like cheap plastic
    • B&D should stick to making cheap plastic tools and stay out of the coffee business
    • The coffee does not stay hot for very long and it has a disgusting plastic taste that has not gone away after repeated washing.
    • I can see how certain critical plastic parts could wear out and fail over time
    • The entire thing is made of flimsy plastic (I should have sent it back the minute I took it out of the box
    • The plastic continues to crumble off little by little, now it is difficult to pour coffee at all
    • After a month of trying there was always a burnt plastic taste
    • The coffee tastes like plastic even after following manufacturers instructions for use and the only thing that isn't made from cheap plastic is the carafe (which is very nice)
    • Love the carafe but the base is cheap thin plastic and putting the carafe back to the base isn't as easy or smooth as it should be
    • I finally found that if I lift the top and let everything air dry before brewing I can't taste plastic, but its a pain to remember to do this every time I make coffee.
    • That wouldn't be so bad, but as noted, the coffee comes out lukewarm, not hot.>>The clock is hard to read and the various info that comes up (number of cups icon, bars for strength chosen) are almost impossible to see.>>Does not have an auto-off feature (we've had one on all our units for something like the last ten years and we are not talking machines that cost anywhere near as much as this one)>>The cheap plastic construction of the base unit
    • Every cup tastes and smells terrible, like really bad chemical plastic!I followed the manufacturer instructions for initial cleaning and prep
    • I ended up removing the broken plastic parts and let the rubber piece in the pour spout move on its own based on the pressure of the liquid coffee during a pour
    • Fortunately, this coffeemaker works as well as or better than any we have previously owned (and all of those were much more expensive). We use dark-roast coffee exclusively and we both like our coffee strong
    • Also the thermos does not keep the coffee as hot as we’d like after 30 min
    • Fortunately, this coffeemaker works as well as or better than any we have previously owned (and all of those were much more expensive). We use dark-roast coffee exclusively and we both like our coffee strong
    • Works as excepted.
    • Needless to say I would recommend this coffee pot as of right now
    • Not quite as hot as I would like, so only four stars.
    • DO NOT BUY, bought in June of 2017 hardly used and now does not work as of
    • This is easy to use and adjustable as to how bold you really want your cup of Joe
    • Not having bells and whistles didn't bother me as it was reliable and made good coffee right until the end.
    • For those that like coffee extremely hot, this may not be for you, it will not be as hot as with a typical coffee maker
    • n’t smell the coffee in the other room and down the hallway like with my other machine
    • so I like it hot and fresh typically
    • As much as I like everything else about the machine I doubt I will purchase another one.
    • So far ok I set timer foru coffee not always as hot as I like
    • Seems it had issues, as it has been discontinued, or maybe mine was defective - as I
