No plastic smell out of the box

Also I didn’t like putting all that plastic in the landfill - and should we really be drinking coffee strained through all that plastic

After thoroughly following cleaning instructions, I noticed a faint burning plastic odor.

Also i would recommend buying small coffee filters, the coffee maker comes with a little plastic one that works fine, but i think the actually paper filters would work allot better!

My theory being to cool it off in the position I want it to stay, because that plastic is fairly flexible, especially when it's warm.

Unfortunately, the warming plate gives off an unpleasant plastic smell when heated.

I would give this 3-4 stars if it weren't for the TERRIBLE plastic smell and taste

The first 2- 3 weeks, a weird "plastic" smell emits when coffee is brewing.

All I received was a cheap plastic case and NO CARAFFE.

Also, for those that are interested, the plastic used is polypropylene, a food safe plastic, suitable for high heat.

Also the coffee tasted great from the first pot and no nasty plastic taste.

I'm considering returning it, especially if the plastic is toxic.

The dark plastic is disgusting in smell.

This leads me to believe the cheap plastic of the top of the pot leaks into the the bottom after hot water runs through it, and if you don't already know, burning plastic is toxic

Carafe is very easy to clean as the design is straight.
