    BLACK+DECKER 5-Cup Coffeemaker, Black, CM0700BZ

    • The hot plate runs EXTREMELY hot, to the point that if you leave it on there for more than 5 to 10 minutes, it will curdle milk and cream when poured in.
    • It has no hot plate to keep your coffee warm
    • The drawback is that there is no warming plate so as soon as the coffee is brewed it begins to lose heat
    • Unfortunately, the warming plate gives off an unpleasant plastic smell when heated.
    • Interesting features, sturdy, good coffee, but careful folks, this does not have a hot plate to keep coffee warm.
    • Its hot plate gets extremely hot
    • Brews just right without sacrificing flavor, easy to clean, stays warm on the hot plate
    • Also keeps the coffee hot on the warming plate
    • The first one I ordered stopped working after 3 uses (did not dispense water and the hot plate did not warm up), but replacing it with a new one was pretty easy, and it's still working great so far
    • I still get a hint of plastic smell from the hot plate, but it's not overwhelming
    • The hot plate kept my coffee hot for an hour or more and somehow it didn't end up with that burnt taste.
    • Needed an inexpensive option with a warming plate, pause/pour and a switch on the
    • The hot plate is very hot but if I leave it on for more than 10 minutes the coffee tastes a little burnt
    • The hot plate gets too hot on this unit, it boils it up and causes large bubbles to rise in the coffee... when these bubbles surface it actually jolts the carafe
    • The warm plate keeps the coffee nice and hot.
    • The warming plate is great, keeps the coffee very warm for that second cup!great
    • If you want to get a cuppa coffee halfway through your coffee will come pouring out all over the hot plate

    • Grounds are everywhere - the lid, the cover to the pot, the warming plate
    • Has a hot plate to keep the coffee warm
    • Meantime, the coffee tastes good and stays hot on the base hot plate.
    • Additionally, I'm not sure if this model simply lacks a hot plate, but it does not keep coffee warm whatsoever
    • Ran 2 more pots with water/vinegar but the smell kept coming from the hot plate, which I cleaned with vinegar and water too.
    • Unfortunately, the warming plate gives off an unpleasant plastic smell when heated.
    • Additionally, I'm not sure if this model simply lacks a hot plate, but it does not keep coffee warm whatsoever
    • I let the coffee sit in the carafe on the hot plate a few minutes then pour one serving into my drinking cup and the rest into a (glass) thermos that keeps it warm enough to drink for quite a while so that I can pour two more servings at intervals later
    • The element that heats the water stays on, which seems more dangerous than a heating plate staying on, because the former could be closer to cabinets, paper towels, & other flammables, while a hot plate (esp with a carafe on it) would be less likely to come into contact with anything accidentally.--on/off button is on the side, and takes a bit of pressure to switch
    • Carafe is very easy to clean as the design is straight.
    • n’t make coffee hot enough
