I have used plenty of inexpensive coffee pots in the past that get the job done well at a low cost

I have brewed several pots of coffee and it works exactly as advertised.

This one has a "lever" type switch in the back behind the canister that would stop the drip process when the pot is missing.

Other than that, the pot and parts are very easy to remove/clean - much easier than my last coffee maker.

The first few pots out of this thing were dubious, but after that, the coffee was about as good as anything I've ever gotten from cheap coffee makers and cheap coffee

I needed a small pot to replace my previous one that didn't last long (and I never really like anyway)

So, I also bought a thermal pot, good for 24 hours which holds just about this whole pot of coffee

Well, a few months later I made a pot and and when I went in to pour it I discovered all the water was on the counter and floor

I love my little coffee pot and the little basket that comes with it no need for filters.

Guess I will begin to search again for a safer pot and hopefully one that makes as good coffee!
