Clearly a faulty water compartment.

OR....I can use my own glass teapot infuser on the bottom, let the hot water pour into the infuser through the tea/

I always use very clean, pure water

but it only made the hot water, and does not keep my tea hot

It's like drinking a cup of half coffee half water

I send this coffee machine to my son who is a student at UCSC he loved easy to use he told me and before this machine him and his roommate were using pots to boil water for their coffee they were happy when they got this machine.
