You definitely do not feel like you're holding some chintzy device
How can they call it a "Verizon" device when the company won't support it?
I must finally end the love affair with this brand due solely to their customer services stance on handling their own defective device returns/repair and Replacement program and lack of loyalty to those who have supported them without waiver for 15 years
If you only use your phone for emails, call, and texts, then this is a great device
This device is beautiful to look and a pleasure to hold.
It also is glitchy with my car's bluetooth (songs randomly stop playing) and has several other annoying features: When listening to an audio message in Whatsapp, if someone else messages me it puts the audio I'm currently listening to on speakerphone
I've been using this phone for over a year, but only because a physical keyboard is the most important smartphone feature to me
The most important extra feature of the keyboard is the ability to set shortcuts
The screen is sharp, the phone is responsive, the keyboard feels good, and the expandability of the storage via microSD is a great feature
Keyboard is nice, lacks some features and some features just plain dont work
I was VERY worried about the keyboard considering it looks small (like the old Q10) and perhaps had the awful feel of the Priv that I'm still sporting (and pretty angry about).
The feel of the phone is definitely hefty with a soft-touch(though not as grippable as Samsung phones("grippable feel" of the Galaxy S5) or LG phones (Nexus 5/5X) which was a disappointment to me as I felt I couldn't comfortably grip the phone
It has a great feel in your hands, very reliable, fast and productive
The soft rubbery textured back makes the device less slippery in the hand and the solid aluminum frame with glossy keyboard give the device an incredibly sleek, premium feel.
I can't complain about the build quality and so far I've found myself admiring the solid heft and cold feel of the device in my hand
I love the physical keyboard, the fingerprint sensor on space bar and the phenomenal battery life
Android OS (Blackberry 10 was awful), keyboard, unbelievable battery life.
Awesome screen, awesome keyboard, awesome battery life and native android all wrapped up in a very classy looking shell.
Solid performance and on top of all those other aspects, outstanding battery life
After about a month in with the Blackberry sleeve case my device overheated while charging, this killed the overall battery life and made the device squeak and creak from overheating all the glue
Blackberry beeper-like device that had no phone and only sent and received text messages.....and have used every BB model since
Best phone since the passport, I have used iphones, Google pixel, honor 8, galaxy s7/s8, none can compare to the keyone
4 letters did not work the S G L and W. Seems the first batch they send to the U.S. is a bad one
The touchscreen sometimes takes a "harder press" than I'm used to from other phones, but it's actually nice and avoids a lot of accidental button pushes
It has the best keyboard I've ever used on a phone, it runs modern Android, the screen's good, and getting it up and running on Verizon was not too hard (though simultaneous voice/data keeps turning itself off).
Swiping up on the keyboard to select predictive words doesn't seem as responsive as on the Priv
I bought the Keyone because even after 3 years of typing on touchscreen phones, my accuracy was never as good as on the bb classic.
"Y" for YouTube with the keyboard's shortcuts makes it even more useful.
Both BB and TCL(manufacturer) companies are probably to blame here, but I blame TCL more for making faulty hardware AND for their terrible quality checks before packaging
As a longtime user of BlackBerry OS and BlackBerry 10 phones, I had been skeptical of BlackBerry's move to Android, and was unsure about this device as it is made by TCL, a company I had no previous experience with
the small width meant a small antenna which made T-Mobile act like AT&T... but at least it had WifiCalling.
I got the CDMA version because I am with Verizon after getting 4g and internet to work the phone is flawless
4 letters did not work the S G L and W. Seems the first batch they send to the U.S. is a bad one
No front facing LED flash unfortunately, just the front LCD screen will light up to act as a flash, which seems to work pretty ok, kind of gives a softer light compared to LED’s actually, so in some cases could actually look better than a LED flash
Update after 2 weeks :I just returned it due to the terrible radio/signal strength
The first time was horrid, I waited a month for a new phone only to get a refurbished phone that had a scratched camera lens, but I was so desperate for a
Blackberry makes the right 'suggestion' and corrections at the right time and in the right manner
I'm a loyal blackberry user as I <3 the keyboard and this phone did not disappoint
I was reading how people had a hard time seeing the screen in sunlight
I called blackberry support 3 times and left 3 emails because this should still be under warranty
A good phone for business, a BB Fan for about 10 years, but the speaker is not loud enough and it is mono (Z30 and Passport have great speakers and I worked them hard)
Speaker is great and the expandable memory takes a tera bite so never have to worry about memory, plus it has all major
I'm not giving up on the Keyone just yet and hoping an OS update would take care of the poor speaker quality and reception during phone calls
The speaker on the phone is probably the worst I've had in any smart
My Passport has amazing speakers, perhaps I got spoiled with it
The lack of this feature alone makes iPhone deficient as a business phone
Swiping up on the keyboard to select predictive words doesn't seem as responsive as on the Priv
While I loved the Blackberry 10 OS, the lack of apps was really holding it back.
What made this phone feel like a "Sidekick" was the severe lack of keyboard support for this phone that made using productivity apps like Evernote, Wunderlist, Office 365 suite non-functional
Plus the lack of accessibility to features with a swipe up from the bottom of the screen is a negative.
A lot of my complaints might be about the new version of android, because the menu button is gone and the number pad for making phone calls is difficult to locate
The sticky pad had pulled on it as the phone gradually and repeatedly (three times) fell off the case, thereby causing the back of the phone to pop off slightly
I miss the track pad which was like a miniature mouse because it made a pointer so u can go back & forth on what you have typed, I basically have to delete the whole word or sentence to change something
I bought the Keyone because even after 3 years of typing on touchscreen phones, my accuracy was never as good as on the bb classic.
Swiping up on the keyboard to select predictive words doesn't seem as responsive as on the Priv
THE LED LIGHT!blackberry's bold 9700 that came out in the year 2011 has the best led light!!!physical home/back/recent buttons, pick up button, hang up button, disable touch screen for a trade with a track pad, larger brighter bigger LED light, enter button to send text, removal batteries, anti-fingerprint screen, automatic text field detection so we can start using our keyboards to type instead of having to activate typing by touch the screen first, power lock button on top of phone, larger font size for status bar, sound profiles, usable convenience key during screen lock mode or convenience key to capture and operate camera all in one button, smaller phone size like BB classic or Bold series with google play apps is recommended.
the small width meant a small antenna which made T-Mobile act like AT&T... but at least it had WifiCalling.
They could fix this by having the buttons be disabled for a small window after one of these trackpad gestures, and everything would be solved
The touchscreen sometimes takes a "harder press" than I'm used to from other phones, but it's actually nice and avoids a lot of accidental button pushes
The notification drawer is a swipe down from the top, the send buttons on some messengers and email clients are on top, the clear all button in the recent apps screen is on top, the address bar in browsers are on top, etc
No front facing LED flash unfortunately, just the front LCD screen will light up to act as a flash, which seems to work pretty ok, kind of gives a softer light compared to LED’s actually, so in some cases could actually look better than a LED flash
4 letters did not work the S G L and W. Seems the first batch they send to the U.S. is a bad one
Every issue including glass/screen problems was dealt with by a template email instructing me to
