Blue Icicle XLR to USB Mic Converter/Mic Preamp

    • After quickly setting it up, all I could get out of it was awful static and high pitched noises
    • , i bought a new XLR, still makes loud popping noises, and i've messed with the gain on the icicle itself and within my computer, too
    • I noticed no noise or coloration of the signal and it worked without a problem.
    • Clear sound, low noise, LOTS of signal
    • but occasionally there is static noise as well.
    • The noise and feedback I received with this device was horrible - I might have a bad unit
    • But the one things that I didn't like was the noise
    • I opened it fresh out the package and connected it with the XLR cords that came with my Yeti Pro and the driver installed correctly but as soon as i started recording it made loud popping noises with the recordings
    • I turned the gain all the way up and there was no static noise at all, just my clear voice came through
    • and it sounds the business - no hum, noise, clicks or pop
    • but occasionally there is static noise as well.
    • I have been using a standard XLR to USB cable with my Shure 58 dynamic mic, which works okay, except for an annoying hissing noise that accompanies the majority of my vocal recordings.
    • There have been many people that have had this same problem, but there was a noticeable hissing noise coming through
    • I suggest everyone buy I super long cable cause it catches loud noise if the cable moves just slightly
    • I found i had to record at a very low gain setting to avoid static noise which caused some vocal drop
    • Piece o' garbage.
