It picks up more ambient noise and you don't have a way to reduce the intake on the mic (like you do on the regular, non-Ice, Snowball, where you can switch it to -10db)

Summary: all in all, this microphone can pretty much float your boat in almost any aspect, it’s cheap price should not fool you as it’s quality definitely does not reflect the low price

However that set up really never worked as I couldn't get the levels boosted enough to sound right.

I found that not to be the case for this instance as well as I've recorded multiple videos for Youtube and I love the quality of this microphone and i'll probably have this microphone for a long time
