You have to have the microphone close to you to have a good sound.
The sound quality is great and her videos sound professional.
Very good microphone for a USB mic that pics up good sound from a computer
The sound from this mic is so good that I do not imagine it could be better
The sound quality is great, but it still picks up my keyboard and mouse sounds loud and clear even when it's in cardioid mode and facing the complete opposite direction.
I love the design and the texture and look of the brushed aluminum
This is a great little microphone, and better yet, I really love the design of it
As a matter of fact I gave it 2 Stars for the fact that it is pretty solid and well designed (On the outside)The Mic itself has very bad noise in the background, despite the fact it is completely quit in here
I make music as a hobby and this microphone is one of my favorite for its sleek design and texture
Four stars instead of five because it's a somewhat awkward size/shape design for a desktop
, the Snowball WILL outperform it for the same price or less.
The blue snowball isn't super expensive for a mic but has quite the professional sounding quality that you'd want
I started with the Blue Snowflake and, to be honest, didn't notice any difference in the sound of the spoken voice with the more expensive Blue Snowball microphone
the Blue Snowball Microphone met, but certainly did not exceed my expectations.
The yeti a better mic, however that does not mean that the snowball is garbage
Its not made to stand on a desk or similar surface, and it's unforgiving hard-metal makes it impractical to clip the gizmo to any but the thinnest computer screens
AWESOME product, use it every day as well as for my webinar hosting and podcasts.
When I initially bought the microphone, I liked it, but after using it for about 15 weeks, I notice an intermittant audio cut that follows the microphone, and is present on my Mac in both Garage Band and Audacity, as well as on my Windows 8 PC in Audacity
The sound quality is good, but now I have to upgrade my PC for this to work as it cuts in and out since it needs more memory to run
I first bought this to do some digital recording, but found that it also works great for Skype and other video meetings, as well as for dictation using Dragon Naturally Speaking
We used headset microphones and found a lot of static, tinny or echoe effects, or just weird crackles or pops as the user moved the headset microphone boom

If you have a crackling squeaky voice it will not make you sound like Barry White :-)However this microphone does have an exceptional quality for USB microphones and edging in on broadcast quality
Only used it for audio recording and it does much better than cheaper USB mics and headsets.
I was so used to just going out to Walmart for a cheap Logitech headset every so often (little Midwest
I first bought this to do some digital recording, but found that it also works great for Skype and other video meetings, as well as for dictation using Dragon Naturally Speaking
but at the same time the lows are as good as the headset
For me the Blue Snowball easily outperformed the Logitech headset I had previously used, but the sound still wasn't to the standard I would expect of a professional grade microphone
AWESOME product, use it every day as well as for my webinar hosting and podcasts.
I learned to remove and reduce ambient noise so that is an easy problem to fix
I use it in a home office and find draping a bath towel over it blocks out much of the ambient noise yet allows it to pick up my voice very well
this is not the right mic for, because it works very well at picking up ambient noises such as keyboard clicks, it also picks up the air between the strings of an acoustic guitar
I love t, it works really well for what I am using it for, video narration.
The cardioid setting is perfect for those in a somewhat noisy environment

It is a bit large and picks up ambient sound more than I would like, but it has served me quite well and there is always push to talk with you are in a loud environment.
Because of my experience I HIGHLY suggest getting a stand that clamps to your desk as to prevent it from getting it knocked off and make sure it is in a good temperature environment
These produce amazing sound quality in a really noisy environment
It does pick up a noticeable amount of background noise
The only thing that I don't like about it is that it picks up some background noise.
When I initially bought the microphone, I liked it, but after using it for about 15 weeks, I notice an intermittant audio cut that follows the microphone, and is present on my Mac in both Garage Band and Audacity, as well as on my Windows 8 PC in Audacity
and he says doesn't pick up background noise while he plays.
Its a great mic and has very little to no background noise.

What did Blue put inside that wild-looking Snowball USB mic, anyway? How about two completely distinct capsules? Yep
You can sing into it, put it on you guitar amp, or just put the Snowball on its included stand and pretend you're sending signals back to your home planet
Podcast with it, record entire albums with it, and appreciate the fact that it plugs straight into your computer, via USB
That's convenience! You even get a handy 10dB pad, so your crazy-loud guitar player won't cause the mic to distort
It's round, it's white, it sounds like a million bucks, and it's right here, ready to ship
