*could have been* a great product-- what were they thinking??
Only if this product was excellent would he record himself
This product is excellent, The quality of the recording is great, it's just a
Its too bad with so many good reviews, this product can be so cheap and useless.
Great product replaced old mic really captures voice but not background noise its great for commentating or podcasting for sure its a great buyRead more
, the Snowball WILL outperform it for the same price or less.
The Snowball is excellent for doing a assortment of things,
the Blue Snowball Microphone met, but certainly did not exceed my expectations.
The yeti a better mic, however that does not mean that the snowball is garbage
I started with the Blue Snowflake and, to be honest, didn't notice any difference in the sound of the spoken voice with the more expensive Blue Snowball microphone
AWESOME product, use it every day as well as for my webinar hosting and podcasts.
I first bought this to do some digital recording, but found that it also works great for Skype and other video meetings, as well as for dictation using Dragon Naturally Speaking
When I initially bought the microphone, I liked it, but after using it for about 15 weeks, I notice an intermittant audio cut that follows the microphone, and is present on my Mac in both Garage Band and Audacity, as well as on my Windows 8 PC in Audacity
The sound quality is good, but now I have to upgrade my PC for this to work as it cuts in and out since it needs more memory to run
Its not made to stand on a desk or similar surface, and it's unforgiving hard-metal makes it impractical to clip the gizmo to any but the thinnest computer screens
AWESOME product, use it every day as well as for my webinar hosting and podcasts.
We used headset microphones and found a lot of static, tinny or echoe effects, or just weird crackles or pops as the user moved the headset microphone boom

My biggest concern when buying it is that there would be monstrous crackling and distortion on high and/or loud notes whenever I sang at any reasonable distance from it
If you have a crackling squeaky voice it will not make you sound like Barry White :-)However this microphone does have an exceptional quality for USB microphones and edging in on broadcast quality
While it's certainly among the best headset mics I have used, it didn't have the full sound I was looking for
I plan on buying another one with a stand and a pop filter (not necessary if not talking directly into the mic) and can't wait to get another great mic back (using a crappy headset with a built in mic).
I had a cheap wal-mart headset that I was using before and that sounded horrible compared to this (that is why I was looking for a new mic)
For me the Blue Snowball easily outperformed the Logitech headset I had previously used, but the sound still wasn't to the standard I would expect of a professional grade microphone
I wouldn't call it great - it's not as crisp as the mic in the cheaply-built Logitech G330 headset (honest
I love t, it works really well for what I am using it for, video narration.
and I like the sound of the cheaper plastic alternative much better
I was insanely disappointed by the cheap plastic stand that came with it.overall the audio quality is great

The volume is at a reasonable level, the p's and t's are clear, and the background noise is minimal

I learned to remove and reduce ambient noise so that is an easy problem to fix
This mic is terrific - it eliminates ambient noise and provides great quality
I'm using this to pick up ambient noises in an auditorium, works pretty well, but it would be much better for podcasting or straight forward vocal recording.
I love t, it works really well for what I am using it for, video narration.
I live in a noisy environment and it cancels everything and only picks up what is directly in front of
The cardioid setting is perfect for those in a somewhat noisy environment
Due to its high sound quality, it's also very sensitive so beware of noisy environments.
It is a bit large and picks up ambient sound more than I would like, but it has served me quite well and there is always push to talk with you are in a loud environment.
The mic will still plug in, but everyone once and it while it will lose connection
Today the connection became so poor that I can't get the microphone to work at all
I love t, it works really well for what I am using it for, video narration.
Pretty Cool Mic, worked for a bit and then had troubles with the mic staying connected to the computer, the red light would be on indicating that it was connected but the computer would lose all connection to the mic
but I can't even move a it little because it lost the connection with the computer and sometimes I notice until I finish

and he says doesn't pick up background noise while he plays.
The only thing that I don't like about it is that it picks up some background noise.
