When playing You Tube videos you have to know that not every upload is masterfully set at optimal volume and EQ levels, so some songs might have a little too much bass or minor distortion at full volume so you might have to back off a notch

The sound quality is not good over 1/4 volume.

( I found it muddy and the volume was just adequate with both the phone and the speaker set to maximum).
