While this coffee grinder does a nice job of grinding the coffee, it spews grinds everywhere leaving my coffee bar a mess.
Does a great job grinding, and is relatively quite compared to other grinders
This coffee grinder does a good job of grinding the coffee.
The grinder does a lovely job, the changing of grind size by turning the hopper is simple though it took me a bit to figure out that was how you changed it
For example, for french press, some of the grounds are as fine as for Turkish coffee and some of the grounds are as big as 1/6 of a bean.
Amazon has a great return policy if you'd like to take the risk and buy this, but I would seriously recommend that you look to other grinders before purchasing this one
Amazon was kind enough to replace the item, and the new one worked fine.....for about 3 weeks
For example, for french press, some of the grounds are as fine as for Turkish coffee and some of the grounds are as big as 1/6 of a bean.
I was disappointed but Amazon made it right

The pictures are nice and the actual grinder works well, but the plastic feels cheap and cumbersome
Seriously... You're flying blind with the level of instructions in this, so you better have an understanding of basic engineering and be familiar with how burr grinders work
The pictures are nice and the actual grinder works well, but the plastic feels cheap and cumbersome
It grinds the beans exactly as I like them

After daily use for 9 months, the motor started heating up and made a very loud noise and would not grind anymore
I really hate loud noise in the morning and noise this grinder makes is very tolerable
Works efficiently, medium noise, holds enough coffee, but the receptacle and the body don't match super well and there are staticky coffee grounds everywhere each time I use it.
It grinds the beans exactly as I like them
The noise is decent at best and there’s a little gap in between the coffee grind holder that spits out some grinds and leaves a little mess
After using the Bodum burr grinder to grind beans for two weeks, it stopped working
the Cone Shape cup for placing the beans is nice and large.
It does grind the beans much easier than a handheld one and more evenly, thus the 2/5 stars
Mix well, pour into the grinder and then grind the beans
When it worked it only too about 30 secs to grind the beans and, although I used it every day, 7 days/wk, I wouldn't say that 30 secs of grinding time is that much to expect from the product
Although it grinds well enough for a budget grinder, the plastic grind container is poorly fitted/designed to the grinder body and does not sit flush, causing grinds to spill out over the sides
The construction is entirely plastic, and cheap flimsy plastic at that
The seal between machine and the detachable plastic container for the grounds is horrible and grounds spray everywhere
The only reason I can’t give this grinder 5 stars is the plastic grind catcher
For example, for french press, some of the grounds are as fine as for Turkish coffee and some of the grounds are as big as 1/6 of a bean.
This one grinds perfectly for the Flair espresso maker and it is a decently picky machine when it comes to the grind so it should work with most machines out there.
For example, for french press, some of the grounds are as fine as for Turkish coffee and some of the grounds are as big as 1/6 of a bean.
So if I grind every day, every week or 2 I have to shake and bang the machine for about 5 minutes in all different directions to dump out the grinds stuck inside
Also, in spite it not being airtight, I still need to pry the cup out with a knife or something to remove it
If you put a cup or more in the bean receptacle to grind it at the fine setting, it clogs and you have to clear out the chute of beans that are gummed up in there preventing grinding from taking place.
It’s a great option grinder for those whom love a very cup of coffee, it will grind all sizes needed for the different coffee makers, recommended 100%
The cup doesn't fit well, so ground coffee falls behind it making a mess and making it even harder to fit
The grinder started to grind very slowly and could not even finish grinding a 1/4 cup of beans (the standard amount I use each day) before overheating and binding.
I would have to shake it and bang on the side while using it and would eventually use something to clear the clog of coffee grinds after the motor would start smoking.
Too messy by far for everyday use, and grinding enough coffee for a week burned out the motor.
I have had it for less than two weeks and the motor is already dead
One thing I am noticing with the new model I just purchased is that the motor seems more powerful than the last one I had
This product has a design flaw where the clear catcher does not seal all the way and there is a gap
There is a design flaw where there is a gap between the body of the grinder and the ground coffee container so the grounds fly out of the container all over the place
but it blew coffee everywhere due to what I think is a design flaw
This one design flaw pretty much ruins the experience and im now forced to go bavk to the manual grinder i have.
I contacted Bodum and they knew of the design flaw and were unwilling to refund my purchase.
As others have mentioned, there is a problem with static electricity on this device
It's triton which is high grade plastic, scratch resistant, but it will probably still have the static electricity issues associated with burr grinders
Every time I use it, it sprays perfectly ground coffee all over the counter and the static electricity between the grinder and grounds cup ensures that a little bit more will get stuck to the outside of the grinder
The plastic collection cup ensures that static electricity will cause coffee to go everywhere
It's small enough to fit anywhere really, but it's large enough to be able to grind coffee for a full size French Press with no trouble.it's a little over half as much as the deluxe version and the major differences are that you don't have something to set the grinding time and the collection unit is made out of plastic not borosilicate so you do have to do with static holding causing your coffee to cling to it
This standard version is a little harder to see the grind setting dial and the plastic grounds container isn't as nice as the glass
This is what I get for buying the cheaper version of their other grinders which have worked well for me in the past.
It grinds the beans exactly as I like them
Muddying the waters even further is the fact these cheaper versions share the same design and name as their more expensive brethren, possibly confusing customers on what they're actually buying
