I feel like it would be unfair to judge this press because I think I may have chosen the wrong item or the wrong size for my needs
It is the perfect size because I'm the only coffee drinker in my home
I paid around $16 for this amazing product, and was having a hard time deciding which size
this is the perfect size for my two cups of coffee in the morning.
i only had it for an hour or two because the size is misleading- when they say 3 cup, they dont mean baking reference cups because this wouldnt accept 2 fluid cups of water
Quality of product seems good, easy to use, easy to clean
It broke as I was putting the handle back over the rim, and did a little damage to me
It was good quality and it was just what I was looking for.
Only enough for a few cups of coffee, but works well.. good quality.
I am used to large mugs of Brown Gold, so this size disappoints as to quantity filling only 75% of one 12 oz mug, which may be OK for you if you add creamer or milk, but I have been taking mine black for nearly a year now
The lid is flimsier than previous versions by Bodum, because it's a simpler design, but still a great product
I did a lot of research because I didn't want to get a bad product on my first french press purchase then give up on french press before I had even started.
This product has one design flaw which makes it annoying
I have read very few reviews of people having this issue, so for the $ this is not a bad product, it made it 5 years before completely giving out
Great Product, We have a smaller size but needed a bigger size.
It broke as I was putting the handle back over the rim, and did a little damage to me
As usual, this a sturdy coffee maker like all Bodum products.
So I’m really confused as to why it is advertised as an 8 cup.
I've gone through a great many coffee makers of various sorts in my day
I am used to large mugs of Brown Gold, so this size disappoints as to quantity filling only 75% of one 12 oz mug, which may be OK for you if you add creamer or milk, but I have been taking mine black for nearly a year now
The only thing good about this is that it is small and affordable
Good thing i still have the Aeropress (BPO free plastic)
Love everything but the one and only thing I would change is the size
The worst thing was that the glass container component is made of such thin glass that it will break if you tap it the wrong way
The Ability to CountStep 1: Measure out 60g of your favorite coffee beans and grind to a coarse grind (about 60-70 turns with the Morning Grind Grinder on coarse setting)
If you don't want to start your morning swearing, while wishing you had heeded the warnings of the negative reviews, don't buy this press! As others have stated (and sadly I ignored), the handle design wasn't thought through
I am a pretty level headed person and don't write angry or mean reviews
I heard a french press was a good way to get strong, flavorful coffee made quick and this one had very good reviews
Writing this review 2 years after I purchased the product and it still works great
I don't know why there has been negative reviews of this french press
Not only was the beaker extremely difficult to remove from the plastic base, but the handle snapped right in half when I attempted to reassemble it
I also found that when I lifted the pot to pour the coffee the shape of the handle caused me to grip it in a way that fingers repreatedly came in contact with the scalding hot beaker
In about a dozen disassembly/assembly cleaning, the beaker broke.
I've absentmindedly broken the glass beaker twice during those 5 years (my fault), but it's glass, so, come on, it happens
I needed a new french press as I broke my old Bodum Chambord beaker
So I’m really confused as to why it is advertised as an 8 cup.

Don't think it had anything to do with the heat because the carafe itself wasn't cold when I poured the hot water
So I’m really confused as to why it is advertised as an 8 cup.
I made the mistake of ordering a French press with a design flaw and can't afford to constantly buy new
Sometimes I get frustrated with this design flaw and put every ounce of strength I have on it and coffee goes flying out of the top
The black plastic piece that the rod fits through and which holds the assembly in place, is stripped (this seems to be a major design flaw... not sure how a plastic piece is supposed to stand up to continued high temps - I mean, even car seats expire these days for that reason).
Works as I knew it would
This product has one design flaw which makes it annoying
I love the metal mesh filter - it's easy to clean and seems to push down the coffee grinds even better than the rubber style Bodum plunger on our other french press.
Worked for fine for about 2 weeks, then it slowly started letting coffee grinds pass through the filter.
A few coffee grinds always sneak through the filter but that's problebly my fault for not buying the right grind size.
so I can make my coffee as strong as I like it
It's a great French press - easy to clean, easy to use, the filter doesnt get stuck with the coffee grinds and it pushes down easily
I'm not a coffee snob, but I am picky enough that I prefer French press over drip coffee or -shudder- Keurig
I'm a coffee snob and just can't drink the coffee provided at work
We're both coffee snobs, and the french press is perfect at making great coffee
I'm a bit of a coffee snob and this makes excellent coffee
If you are a coffee snob and grind your own, you should be fine
